Have any of the amateurs made it past the cut? I’d say that would be a hell of an achievement if they did One hasn’t played yet, the others will MC sadly.

Played round 2 and started off great with eagle on 2, was feeling good, but then...one bogey, a par on a par 5, two more bogies...what was a -9 round, ended up -6. Good luck to everyone...see you next week at the Heritage...VERY tight and tough course!

Just by way of an update - and respect to these guys making changes to their games at this point of the season:
18 API's last week. Christ alive...
12 have teed it up again this week. 6 of those 12 look like they will unfortunately miss the cut, with 1 of them still in the mix and with a good chance to see the weekend. 5 have been DQ'd again for the 2nd week running, and I definitely know that one of those is trying to get his issues sorted out. Here's hoping you all can manage it.
2 are straight out banned this week for repeated API fails. 4 have yet to tee off.
Of this weeks 9 DQ's so far, we have the 5 that failed last week - Hy hopes for some in the Masters, and they will be Sick to be out of the picture, but suppose it's All e nothing, and where there's a Will there's a way, unless you're Davie McSideswipe.
The additional 4 are all first timers, so again, hope you can all get sorted out.
Good luck going into the weekend everyone... and is Kelly Malone aware of their tee time?

Well I ain’t making the weekend. ☹️ Second round woes have cost me big time. Could and should have made it but a couple of poor shot choices has ultimately cost me. Good luck and well played to all those who make the weekend.

Always enjoy playing Augusta. I was promoted to PGA just after the masters last year so I'm glad to have the chance to play this time around. -19 at the cut should be safe.
I stayed out of trouble in rd 1 with a -7 and for the most part made birdies where I was supposed to but wasn't picking up any shots anywhere else. Lots of big bending putts that will always be a low make % even from 15 ft and I wasn't making any of them. To be fair I kept it safe, leaving tap-ins for the most part. Eagle on 13 was the highlight and bumped me up the leaderboard a few slots. Overall a solid but safe round.
Second round I really caught fire with a -12 that should have been -14 or -15 with a number of missed short putts. Could have just been the roll of the dice in terms of where my shots ended up but I found the pin locations in much flatter and more attackable locations. I also did a good job of leaving myself makeable uphill putts even where the pins were more dangerous. Unlike round 1 I definitely stole a few strokes on tougher holes, including birdies on all par 3's as well as the 7th. My only par on a par 5 in either round came on the 15th when I had a fast on my approach, hit my 35 yard flop to about 7 feet and recorded one of the missed short putts I referenced. Holes 18 and 9 also had missed putts that should have been birdies. 9 was understandable since I had to be so careful not to run it past the hole and off the green, but 18 and 15 were both short uphill putts that I just hit through the break...definitely gave back a couple shots I'd stolen elsewhere.

Thought I was scoring pretty well heading towards the end of the third round. Had an eight footer for birdie on 17 and was already thinking about the fourth round and a decent placing. Well the eight footer broke ridiculously and I even missed the one back. Birdie turned to bogey. It's only one hole but boy was that painful. Played the 18th then straight into the final round. Swung like a maniac, didn't give a damn. Shot 66, could have been 86. Pissed..

This course so far has been tough but pretty fair I think. If you hit your spots you have reasonable chances at birdies and even a couple eagles, if you miss your spots you are punished accordingly and will have a hard time getting up and down for par. In my opinion, that's how I'd think you want most courses to be, particularly majors. So far I've been playing incredibly well thru my first 2 rounds. I shot -10 in the second round which actually had some lucky moments and some unlucky moments. On 13, I had a slow downswing that was going right into Ray's Creek, but it hit inside of the ditch on the right side of it, skipped over the creek to the other side and sat in the rough next to the green. I ended up getting a birdie that could have easily been par or bogey. I also had some tempo issues on some approachable pins and had to struggle to save par. So all in all -10 could have easily been -7 or -8 but also could have been -12 or so. I'm happy with -10. That leave me at -22 thru 2 which last time I checked was 3 strokes back. Very good start and with the 3rd round conditions I believe it's time to go low so we'll see what we can do! Sadly it looks like I may be the only XB1 guy to make the cut so I'll see if I can make a good showing in the 2 rounds and give it a run. good luck to everyone still to play! Best talent in the world out there right now!

I'm at a loss...after a good performance a few weeks ago that felt like the game of old, just about ready to throw in the towel - flat out don't have a swingline that can be viable somehow, and it's really, really...really, incredibly frustrating.
GL everyone.

Wasted the first three rounds of decent golf. Last round was a complete train wreck. Wow

In my opinion, that's how I'd think you want most courses to be, particularly majors. 100% agree. I also like how the conditions were set. I love that there was one round with basically no wind, and one round with very high (I'm typing this message prior to playing the 4th round, so I may change my mind). I also like how the designed putting speeds were respected and left at 182 for all the rounds. I don't mind them changing during tournaments, but it's nice on a tough track like this to not have to readjust every round to a new speed when there's so much else to worry about.

Looks like -15 isn't going to hang on and -16 is the mark. As I said, I'll miss it by one and it is completely my own fault. I blame #4 and a missed 5 footer that I pounded off the green and into the bunker. From Birdie to Bogey for no reason. I also shouldn't expect to make a cut when two rounds in a row I par 8 and 13. #13 is like the easiest hole on the course!

Got off to a slow start, misjudging the stupid SW with the wind at my back twice leaving it way short, one feeling like a missed birdie and the other ended up in bogey cause of a slope. Started to get going eventually and wound up -9. Round 2 got off to a hot start...-9 on the front 9. But of course, it would not be The Masters without me going in the water for a double bogey. Never fails. Even aimed extra right to play safe, but pulled it! Thoughts of an epic choke to miss the cut began to creep in my head, and had a few very stressful par saves. Managed to not totally fall apart and went -10. So -19 after two, but should’ve been better.

Just loaded up the game and saw something I had not seen before. Now there is a soft and a VERY soft option. Slow and VERY slow option. Has this been there all this time? If so I'm not sure how I missed it.
*Edit* Yeah I'm an idiot. I guess it has been there all along. My desire to see something new blinded me to the obvious. LOL
