I feel there is very little reason to take the time and complain to HB. They have a very bad track record of fixing issues like these that aren't cosmetic or has to do with things they care about (like societies). Changes like this are more hard coded and probably requires a full rewrite of their core code. So basically if they haven't figured it out for the next game and already decided to change it, chance of it being changed are nil to zilch.
Good vid Duke. I guess we wait for the admin to make a determination. Frankly I already know that my chances to win on this tour is next to zero but with how quickly and easy it is to learn this swing and seeing the results from just a little practice, I'm sure there is going to be a fair number of people suddenly playing this way just so they can 'compete', which is a shame. I'd be very interested in knowing from the admin how many people a month from now are suddenly never hitting their shots left of center? Will there be a sudden jump of players shooting 3, 4 5 shots better per round out of the blue?
My thinking on that is it really all depends on the programming design decisions. Certain elements/modules concerning both the swing meter and loft box are bound to be 'tightly coupled' with parts of the module code just simply because of it being such a focal fixture. But if the most logical steps were taken, this would have enough flexibility to enable small changes that would not 'break' anything else. In the main debate (where some of this should be posted anyway) ohheycat mentioned the previous updates to this game which did alter the entire swing meter mechanic quite considerably. If anyone remembers just how much loft could be applied to clubs such as a 9 Iron, it almost became redundant to carry any surrounding clubs if you could master the 'incredibly sensitive' loft box. It was also apparent that the sensitivity levels for both swing meter and loft box were adjusted during the subsequent updates. My point being is that if the correct design decisions were followed from a modern day object-oriented programming perspective, this wouldn't take a huge amount of code modification. I would of thought that by now it's down to the team behind the project, they are no longer on contract to this game, and it would require hiring them again or hiring new ones which for those in the programming sector will know just how time consuming this can be when it comes to relearning the related scripts or relying heavily on what you would HOPE to be a good source of notes accompanying the code. Finally I would say this, If hitting the cone was the way this game was meant to be played, then for goodness sake at least make this the most rewarding factor. In my opinion, some of us are just wasting energy on this topic now as we all know where the blame truly lies and that is not with each other. i know it is a little bit the one who preaches for his parish but at least make this a not penalizing factor.
This tiny hook just outside of the blue is penalized by 6 or 7 yds.
this extract comes from a round which does not (or close to not) pass the API.
What is the next step ? shot with left foot ?

Hi Nick - I'll be honest, that swing does what it should do, as far as I understand the swing. Fast back swing reduces accuracy, while adding a little distance - the swing is all the way, slightly angled towards the left, and is up the left hand side of the blue cone, with the extra tail at the top. Swings in the blue don't come out die straight. Just why the rest of the shots in the round didn't pass the API, I cannot comment on.

I just say 7 yds for that it's enough paid for trying to play this game as it should be played

I just played a quick 9 on PGA National to show what kind of swing I’m working with, and for the community’s opinion of whether I’m working an exploit or not. If you have 5-10 minutes I would be grateful for some feedback.

I can’t disagree. If you were to hit it worse than that, it should get to be a much worse result though, if it finished outside of the blue channel. Hope you get your swing issue sorted out.

pretty simple i'll continue to play as i always played on XB1 and now on PC and if issues stay i'll be ban. Changing the way i swing will be to admite that I play with an advantage and, api or not api, i'm definitly not agree with that.
i understand people who manage this site try to find solutions to make this competition fair but when a system of control is partialy reliable we can't use it.
Hoping the next game will allow fair competition whithout all these drama
gl all for this event

Nothing wrong with that swing line in my opinion I play for a slight push because my line at the top usually has a little hook to the right on it. Caused by the stick hitting the top and then pushing slightly right and the game interprets that as an in to out swing, i play for a slight pull on my pitch shots because that’s just how my swing is.

No need to overthink this.
In or very close to the the cone (where the sensitivity lies) with a tendency to hit it slightly one way or the other - fine
Deliberately playing outside of the cone (to avoid the sensitive area) - not fine
Right?

Right? I think that's about as good as can be expected Jack... The swing is bust, and most people aren't intentionally gaining advantage. What's not 100% clear, is when the push or pull is severe enough to enable that advantage to be gained on a regular swing with no loft adjustment. It seems, to me, by what I've done and what I've seen, that the edge of the cone is the tipping point. The only issue, if we take the edge as the truth, for an example at least, is that push / pull swings will always have that advantage of barely being able to "over do it"... but that's the swing, as said, it's totally bust in that regard. Regards lofting... I don't think it matters... As materialization mentioned earlier, it's apparent to me that if you fully loft, whether you play for a push or a pull, you're going to get one or the other regardless of what you try to do, so the only difference there is that anyone that is used to playing a bias already knows which way to adjust.

If you have 5-10 minutes I would be grateful for some feedback. Some may say because it's only your full swing line which bends left and not your putting line that you are using an exploit. However, I think most players produce a straighter putting line than in a full swing as less force is required in the stroke. You're only just missing the cone at times and certainly nowhere close to the extent of some of the "intentionals" playing here.
