The Stableford Matchplay League
One match per week, each match played over 9 holes. All play all over the course of the season. Handicapped.
Different course each week decided by Admin, along with the conditions. Match winners are awarded 2 points. Match losers 0 points. In the event of a tie, both players are awarded 1 point. A League table will be published here every week after each set of matches. In the scenario where two or more players have the same number of 'Match Points', their total 'Stableford Points' will decide their League positions.
The Stableford Matchplay Knock-out Cup
This will run during the course of the League season. Handicapped.
Matches played over 9 holes. Different courses for each round of play. Match winners progress to the next round. Match losers are knocked out and take no further part in the competition. The Final will be played over 18 holes.
These events will commence in the not too distant future, so watch out for more announcements!!

Wow that's a ton of work Mr Goat - do you need a hand - we could set up a google drive and share the workload if you need.

I am confused. It was announced that the Old Goats tournament is a 7-day tournament from monday to monday, starting january 27th. To my surprise the tournament was already up a week before? So i started playing the rounds and after three rounds i wanted to play the 4th only to find the tournament on Kiawah already closed on the 23rd? Now i see that the tournament only lasts 4 days? And a new tournament was started on Bethpage? What is going on?
On a side note looking back at the Kiawah tournament: please make sure when setting the rounds up you are not going to extremes; because the combination of the course/settings/handicaps can be to steep sometimes to make playing realistically enjoyable. When selecting courses please take the difficulty level of that course into account and use appropriate settings taking this into account. In the case of the Kiawah course, this is one of the toughest courses out there. No wonder many bombed out, including me. Handicaps are great but depending on settings and course type can sometimes become an somewhat unfair obstacle for low (+) handicappers.
I'm sure everybody wants to play and enjoy too. Settings are an important part of that.

Yes Charles - the Old Goats World Tour does start on January 27th. ALL WORLD TOUR EVENTS will have a number in the tournament name to help members identify them - you will see on the Society schedule "1. Leaping Goat Classic" - that is event number 1 on the World Tour.
The Kiawah and Bethpage tournaments were just intended to keep members occupied and practicing to get them ready for the World Tour - but, believe me, event conditions will not be as difficult as Kiawah!! These events do not count towards anything.
I also bombed out after Round 1, it was worse than tough!! I appreciate what you say about handicaps and we will try to ensure that settings are fair - if we have the time to do it which, sadly, is not always possible. Personally, I am very excited about the World Tour, and I really hope all members will enjoy the challenge! The clock is ticking...

Career clicker looking to dabble in mouse swing! You know I sit back and watch and never say much - Its just not worth it in the real world over a computer game ( I do believe a quote I read was you called this Cartoon Golf ) - But I watched as Mods at another unknown site, took an idea that a good friend of mine spent almost a full year developing and researching and totally dissembled it - and then claimed it as their own. Then on top of that in the open forums continued to disagree with the designer and then would not support them when the owner of the site, which you are a mod at banned them. You know it makes me sick to think that you would even try to get into this society after what you did to him. So save us all the grief and go back to your site and we can all remain friends, if I was a Mod at this site I would just delete your post and ignore you like you do at your site. But I am a mod at the society and it will not happen. Don't bother to answer this because it will only get worse - so to you "here's hoping" have a good day.

Not sure you get to tell me whether to reply or not. The said Tour was not "totally dissembled", as for claiming it as their own...the other Mods had to pick up when the Designer bolted even after agreeing to carry on after a poll was put up which changed 1 of the 2 things which were altered. As for disagreeing with the Designer, I believe all are entitled to their opinion, just like you here (are you a Mod for the Society?). I had nothing to do with the ban which is actually only for the chat room. The person in question still posts freely on the forum (when it relates to forum). Back to something that relates to this forum: I only asked to join as it is more fun competing against people you know, no biggie if they don't want me to play. I haven't heard back after messaging the Mods of the Society (I believe they are at least), so can always hope they allow me to join and just play...doubt as a lifetime clicker i'll be anywhere near the top of the leaderboard anyhow, lol. If not, hope the Tour goes well, looks well set up as I would expect...just have one or two suggestions...……...not really Have a good day yourself.
