I sketched out my entire site and have a "theme" in mind. I think knowing what the big picture looks like before starting on something like this will help me a lot. I'm pretty pumped to try and make some of these ideas work in the designer.
Also, on the dogleg thing. You can lay down a thin strip of green from tee straight to the hole and it will default to putter no matter what objects are between tee and hole. So then your challenge is just planting over it somehow so you don't see that strip of green.

One hour in and all i've got is a harsh reminder that you can't resize any of the objects in the designer. This is going to be interesting.

One question; the rules allow for par 2 to 5, but I see no way one can get a par 2. Any suggestions? Also, I am having a terrible time finding surfaces that give a decent rebound to the ball. Most cause the ball to come off at a weird angle and with very little rebound distance to what I would expect. Again, any suggestions appreciated.

There's not really a great way to get a rebound, I think we will just have to make do with using objects the ball rolls up onto, or sculpting small red slopes to imitate a rebound. The par 2 thing I'm not sure, I know that some of my holes have defaulted to 2, but you can never select it and after changing it you cant go back. I personally am not using 2s because I want mine to be handicap eligible, which also means that one of my holes will have a yardage a wee bit longer than what it actually is to fool the game into the minimum distance requirement.

Hi Sandsaver, The way you get a par 2 is to place the tee waypoint, then go out just a little bit and place the second waypoint, and then only go a little bit more to place the final waypoint. You can always move pin 1 off of that final waypoint if the hole is longer than the waypoint but you still want it to play as a par 2. That's what I'm doing with my classic mini golf design I'm working on right now. If you watch the menu in the upper right as you're placing the final waypoint, you can see the point at which it decides it's a par 3 because your number of par 3 holes will increase by 1 on the menu. Hope that helps. As far as surfaces, it does take some trial and error depending on what kind of bounce you're looking for. The tops of the brick/stone walls work pretty well, the rocks in the nature objects work well, but the retaining walls and fences that are wood don't have as much "bounce" to them. There are other objects that work too, but I can't give away ALL the secrets. ;-) Experiment with different objects to see what reactions you get.

The physics of this game are a bit... off Haha. It's so obvious in a minigolf setting isn't it? Definitely adds to the challenge here
