Hi Mike! Yes, I'd be happy to provide our notes to people that want them. I'll send you the notes for Family Mini Golf today. Can i have the notes for mine. I'll likely make another course, a little insight would be nice. Absolutely man, I'll put that together today for you in a PM. Thanks!

Fellow community members....... I feel you should know after "patching things up" with VctryLnSprts in a series of PM's away from the forums I have offered him ( & gdog ) my sincere apologies for the way I have acted in the recent pages of this thread & indeed my own course thread (of which certain tail end posts I have now deleted). I deeply regret my original outburst in the Twitch contest results broadcast chat facility & subsequently anything you may have read here after my congratulatory post to Jeremy Mayo (24th Sep 00.54 GMT). I can (& will) understand if anyone's lowered their estimation of my self bearing & I know my reputation within the community as a whole has been severely tarnished. Sometimes life treats you unkindly - to draw the same comparisons in a cyber forum pertaining to a game in a "just for fun" contest is simply foolish, naive & senseless... I've made a fool of myself, should have known better & can somebody knock some sense into me please. This was me waking up the next morning.......... (didn't get much sleep btw).......

Really glad to see this post, pal. Hasn't changed my opinion of you one bit. Contests like this tend to end with nine people disappointed - it happens. More than anything, it's good to have you back

Cheers, Simon!
I blame it on the red mist of battle. Anyone who’s been involved in a contest or two has likely experienced some disappointment in his results. It’s doubly disappointing when, in your mind, you feel your course was capable of finishing better than it did. Been there, done that, didn’t keep the t-shirt.
It doesn’t mean that the judges got it wrong or there’s some clandestine things going on behind the scenes. The judges just viewed the courses in a certain way and, ultimately, their opinion is the final say in these contests. Eric & Geoff evaluated the courses to the best of their ability and in good faith, and the results were what they were.
Unfortunate that things got a little contentious on both sides, but glad that, with some time and reflection, that cooler heads have prevailed.

No disappointment here. The courses were so different that you could've drawn from a hat at random and still ended with a valid result. On my course the more crazy holes took hours, some of them more than a solid day to get everything right. Did I know not keeping that up would hurt my result? Of course. But 4th is pretty fair considering the sacrifices I knowingly made to the quality of a few of the holes.
I dont see you any different Sam. It's hard not to be offended when your work doesn't seem to be appreciated. I can tell you that it was though, I think you and Coruler are my most played, and for hole design alone I'd have you in the top 5 as well. Indeed, my top 5 is different from the results, but that's the nature of these things. Great job everybody, the standard for minigolf courses in this game is effectively raised wayyyyy high now

Just to clarify your post ohheycat, just so there’s no misperception at large, everyone’s work was very much appreciated. We said many times that this was extremely difficult to judge and it wasn’t about bad courses and good courses. There were no bad courses in this contest, we liked them all. I’m not trying to stir anything up here, just wanted to be very clear that we really appreciated Sam’s course and thought it was very good. We have judging notes for all ten courses that includes our thoughts, but as with any contest, those are just subjective of those particular judges. Different judges may have different rankings, and that would be okay too. 👍🏻

There were no bad courses in this contest Well... there was one that was complete garbage and the designer should be embarrassed to have published such a pile of trash. The others were great!

As for field numbers, I can only refer to our most recent PS4 36 hole Fun-D venue, which got 604 plays in 1 day. MON 30 SEPT | SONY MG SUPER SERIES 1 @ WALTON MINI GOLF V
UPDATE/FEEDBACKHmm, suspected as much. The above is a that was then - this is now thing. Many, if not all major indie societies have seen a 20-25% slump in field numbers in the last 6-8 weeks. So we sadly couldn't match the 600 plays our last 24 hour fun day venue received. On a much brighter note - feedback was HUGELY positive on the clubhouse board from the guys - both for the MINI-G format, and Walton MG's creativity and fun factor. And we did manage a 230 one day field, giving Walton approx 350-400 plays (numbers not updated yet) - and hence 'should' comfortably achieve handicap status. Bravoz up next Thursday 3 Oct - we're hoping to build on these figures. CGC NEXT | CASUALS FUN DAY | Thurs 3 Oct | 1D 36H | SONY MINI-G SUPER SERIES 2 @ Bravoz Funtainment | Ohey | 10K/100More crazy golfing frolics tomo as we visit 4th place Bravoz Funtainment Centre - for another wacky packed fun day. Join us Thurs@9uk - LIVE!
