I've noticed that if you make a dog leg hole the game defaults to a LW or SW, is that within the rules?

I've noticed that if you make a dog leg hole the game defaults to a LW or SW, is that within the rules? It’s pretty much understood that a putter should be used on a putt putt course. Sometimes the game does default to another club, but the painter just needs to make sure to use a putter. Haven’t found a workaround otherwise.

I've noticed that if you make a dog leg hole the game defaults to a LW or SW, is that within the rules? That is fine, you can't control that at all. The game had no idea that people would tee off from a green and try to play putt putt. LOL As long as the player can switch to a putter and play the hole with a putter from the tee, you would not be penalized at all if the default club the game gives you is something other than a putter.

Here's a possible idea. (I haven't tried it myself but if I get a chance soon I will try it.)
Maybe with a dog leg hole, put the hole waypoint straight somewhere before the dog leg and then move JUST the pin to the desired spot around the dog leg. People sometimes forget that (if needed) you can move Pin 1 and the hole waypoint as seperate entities even though they are defaulted together. Does that make sense? Then maybe the hole will default to giving the player a putter rather than a wedge.
If someone tries this before me let me know if it works. It probably won't but it's worth a try I suppose.

I'll try this out now because I'm working on mine. Sure would make it more enjoyable and less tedious if it works Unfortunately this did not work Sad day. It doesnt even aim towards the waypoint or anything

Pretty sure you all are going to like this 4th hole. And I thought the 1st was a beast.
It's going to be fun to see what everyone comes up with. Is anyone actually making par 5s? Are we trying to make hole in ones pretty possible? For me no par 5s yet but it could be a thing. I am ace testing my par 3s and deuce testing 4s. Hoping for more fun than hard but a little hard in there if you want it.
Happy designing!

That's my first hole done, I went for a figure of 8 with a 96ft downhill shot. Since it's a chilled out contest I don't mind sharing pics, maybe give someone else an idea.

This is the rough unfinished hole 4. I hate that I had to use a 2nd shelter but the retaining wall green just wasn't working. Ultimately this is what I had to do to make the hole work at all, and I wasn't about to scrap this beaut

Those are both brilliant! Way better than seeing Eric try to angle a sign for a jump that won't work
