Great show and contest guys.
I entered the contest as I seen it as a fun way to experiment in an creative environment without the constraints of designing a full 72 par course. Another bonus is that I didn't have to bother with sight lines and bunker sculpting.
The construction site for this course can be found on Bayerischer Golfplatz, behind the windmill as an easter egg.
I think I may as well announce that my next course in the franchise will be located in Paris.

We absolutely loved your course Pat! There were a few modifications that would've taken it into a strong contender for the top spots, but you have nothing to be disappointed with, that's for sure. I've played it MANY times already, and ALWAYS with a putter. ;-)

Congratulations to Jeremy Mayo ( mayday_golf83) for winning the first Mini Golf Design Contest, and to all 10 contestants for making our lives a living hell for the entirety of the judging process because you all did such a great job! We never imagined how difficult this would be, but it sure was FUN!

We aren't the authorities, feel free to let us know where we went wrong (open dialogue is welcomed if done respectfully).

Congratulations to Jeremy Mayo ( mayday_golf83 ) for winning the first Mini Golf Design Contest, and to all 10 contestants for making our lives a living hell for the entirety of the judging process because you all did such a great job! We never imagined how difficult this would be, but it sure was FUN! Thanks Eric and gdog for putting this on. I went in with zero expectations and just wanted to have a little fun in the designer. Had contemplated putt-putt before, but could never really get the concept the way I wanted when I went in the designer. Watching Eric make Little Putt Manor showed me the type of course I wanted to create could be done and I just wanted to expand upon that. As cliche as is sounds, there really no losers in this contest. All 10 contestants had their own riff on what makes a good putt-putt and brought something unique to the contest -- even if it was just littering the plot with garbage bags (I'm looking at you CiB0RG)! That was the great thing about this contest. We were all trying to "break" the designer and make it do things it was never intended to do (make a mini-golf course). Some best practices I think will come of this and I hope it helps inspire a new wave of putt-putt courses. Mentioned it elsewhere, but would gladly pass Pleasure Island's spot on the DAM calendar to Daryl_71 as I already have a couple of other courses on the Season 2 schedule. That being said, I think the putt-putt portion of the DAM Season 3 schedule just got a lot easier, as pretty much all of these courses would be well worth a couple of plays in the society. Again, good job fellas. Thanks to Eric & Geoff for putting it on and hat's off for making some wonderful, and fun, courses!

Congrats to mayday_golf83 for a well deserved win. Pleasure island was cool as hell. And thanks to VctryLnSprts and gdog for running this contest. It was loads of fun. The forum brainstorming and watching all the courses come together through pics and twitch was cool to see. Also, as someone said during the result show, it was fun trying to break the game. The result show was top notch and Gdogs video was a nice touch and well done. Thanks to everyone that gave my course a play. Admittedly its unfinished but being able to make a playable course was a success for me personally. So look for a reboot in the future. Cheers fellas

We aren't the authorities, feel free to let us know where we went wrong (open dialogue is welcomed if done respectfully). respectfully?! i think Sam should be in the first 5, looking at the poll... if not for only pure fun or aesthetic at least for respect the community opinion too. and i would like to know about my course!? why not admitted if doesn't was a closing date for registration, only a show off window, where i was into the right time first than other signed in from in july.... for sure my fault was the date of registration on tgctours: 9 september 2019 and then, this thing of the walls physic...: if u do a green with a hill in the center rounded by walls.... i think maybe " newton" sounds new to you... anyway, you are the bosses, and you decided, so what i got to say as no much sense i think.... am i wrong? "...world is beautiful 'cause is different...." peace!

That’s fair, I’m honestly really glad that you like Sam’s course, as we do too. I’m sure each course is supported by many as their personal favorite, just as it is in our regular design contests. That’s the beauty of all of these talented designers around the community, in that everyone brings something fresh to the table.
As it relates to our decision, remember it has nothing to do with when you joined the forums, it has to do with when your courses were built (none of the TGCT contests allow WIPs). We felt it was best to stand behind that for consistency. I apologize if that was disappointing, but we would certainly welcome you into future contests.
As I said before, we are not the authorities (or the bosses of anything), but we were in charge of the contest and judging. We do the best we can to run credible contests. We have full judging notes for each course and we can justify our rankings. It doesn’t mean we’re ‘right’, but it does mean we took this very seriously and gave all ten courses a fair shake. As with any design contest, different judges might have different rankings, and that’s totally understandable.
Thanks for the dialogue and for following the contest.
