Victor Lane is en route to Ireland with Darryl & crew. They were able to jump on Mike’s charter flight after his win at Diable.

After landing in Ireland, Mike was so completely smashed from partying on and before the flight that he completely missed Victor's opening round, all thou he isn't completely sure that Victor even told him when he was teeing off. Mike is greatfull that his tee time wasn't early in the week.
good luck everyone, this one looks like it's a man-eater.

Warwick was glad to get an invite to the RV to celebrate Mikes demolition of the field. He found himself alone by the campfire later in the evening, happy to be included but also finding himself more ‘at one’ when in solitude.
He made a quick round of the attendees, thanking them for their hospitality and wishing them well for the next event before heading back to the cheap little bed and breakfast he’d holed up in for the week to clean his clubs and call the missus.
Had an ok first couple of rounds, but missed too many putts to contend for the win. 3rd round was a bit rough, I was on to can 6 or 7 by then and probably should have pulled the pin after 2.
Went with 4w, 4h, 4i- for the first 3 rounds, was pretty happy with it 👍

Victor Lane arrived to Royal Portrush with the boys, but due to his bad play as of late, he wasn’t given a good tee time from the tours. He headed out solo for round one, and got off to a pretty solid start, making solid pars on the difficult holes, keeping a clean card, but too many birdie putts just weren’t finding the bottom of the cup. Despite a mistake-free round without a bogey, he could only post a -6, putting him well behind the leaders already. His attitude was quite solid through the front nine, but soured quickly on the back when the putts wouldn’t go in. After the 18th he headed to the Locker room for an outfit change and a swig of rum & cherry coke, hoping to loosen up for round two.

David arrived for his first tournament and was certainly feeling the effects from the long flight from Australia. +1, E, +8. 4th round couldn't get much worse. All said and done though, he is happy to be in the BCT and as the song goes, Things Can Only Get Better.

Darryl unfortunately didn't see his ol' pal Victor on the tee sheet with him this week. He went out on his own on a quest for another victory. Round 1 and 2 went fantastic. Round 3 and 4 were a bit more of a struggle. Again, travelling to Europe left him a bit out of his comfort zone. Not having the RV around for after hours relaxation was certainly missed. Nonetheless he thoroughly enjoyed the rounds and the course this week. Quite the challenge on some of these holes with beginner clubs for Darryl, but in the end...he was happy with his final score. Darryl, in a post round interview by Chris P Bacon was quoted as saying "They some tough hoes, I mean holes out there, but hopefully we put up a score that will compete."

The Pillsbury Doughboy Open @royal Portrush Open 2019, Round 1.
Mike fresh from his Maiden Victory in The Uber Tournament, did I say fresh? um hungover, tired and Dishevelled would be more apt, but nonetheless he was in a great frame of mind, ready to take on Royal Portrush, Mike had heard whispers all week how this course was eating people alive and the scores were proving that sentiment correct.
Mike would start off his round with 2 pars then a birdie on 3, An errand approach shot on 4 would cost him dearly as he would go onto make bogie, birdies on 5, 7 & 8 would see him make the turn at -3. The back 9 wouldn’t be much help either with only 2 birdies on 10 & 17 but an eagle on 12 would give him a little bit of hope going into round 2. If he can start to get some putts to drop over the next 3 rounds anything can happen, as this course is proving to be a real man-eater.
All the best the rest of the way to everyone.

Edit - Went back in for a second crack at it but it’s just not as fun a course as the last few, those greens are hard work 🤨

The Pillsbury Doughboy Open @royal Portrush Open 2019, Round 2.
Mike start his 2nd round knowing that BCT superstar Darryl A. Montgomery had made Royal Portrush look almost tame posting rounds of 60 & 59 to be at -23 after his 2 rounds. Mike now would need to start playing like last week or any hope of winning would be gone, a pair of birdies to start and things were looking good, 3 more at 5, 6 & 9 and Mike would make the turn at -5 and in good position to start the back 9, 2 birdies on 10 & 13, an eagle on 13 had Mike in a strong position put up a very good score, then came the 15th and a bogie 5 as Royal Portrush would bite back, a birdie on 17 would see him get that shot back even over the final 5 holes wasn’t what he was looking for, with round of 64 & 62 that would put him 7 shots out of the lead and while anything can happen over the next 2 rounds and with some quality golfers yet to off, it would take some great shot making and bit of luck to get back into the hunt.

The Pillsbury Doughboy Open @royal Portrush Open 2019, Round 3.
Starting his 3rd round 7 shots off the lead, Mike would start with birdie followed by 2 consecutive pars, bogie on 4 would see mike drop back to even, not the start he was looking for. 3 birdies on 5, 7 & 9 would see him out in 33 (-3), the back 9 would start out better with 3 birdies in 4 holes to take him to -6 after 13, a final 2 birdies on 15 & 17 would see Mike finish with a 63 (-8) to be in 2nd now just 4 shots behind Montgomery who shot a 66 for his 3rd round. Mike said after his 3rd round that he would give it a red hot go in his final round in an attempt to catch Montgomery, in a bid claim his 2nd BCT title in a row.

Very nice form the last couple of weeks Mike, I’ll have to lift my game a bit to keep up 👍
