Nike should pay him with Venezuela Bolivar without the exchange rate. See how he thinks about America then.
I would love to ask that clown some serious questions like if it's so bad here why are people trying so hard to get here?
Imagine what he thinks about the Dont Tread on me flag. Holy sh%$ it's probably the anti Christ! Ohh sh%$ they don't believe in God. Well it's anti something!

I agree with Kaepernick also.
I can see how a US flag from a time period when people were enslaved based on race could be offensive to people of that race. Nike should have used the current flag.
It's a careless oversight on Nike's part; I don't think they gave it any thought beyond the idea that it was the flag at the time the US declared its independence. It is a minor transgression, but once informed of how it could be taken - considering Nike's corporate partnership with Kaepernick, it makes sense for them to pull the product.

Why should we stop trying the be great - even better than we already are? When did the US decide "better than Venezuela" was good enough?

I’m with Kaepernick, too. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be proud of our country’s history, but I am saying that we shouldn’t be proud of our history with slavery.

Toothless white redneck hick says "what's so bad about the Confederate flag??" (Yes, I know, I'm using another example...)
You think people shouldn't complain about living america because YOU don't have any problems living in america. People with no experience of racism telling people who have what they should feel ok with and not.
I wouldn't want to be associated with Nazis, but I guess that's just me...

Lmao!
Tell him to move to China and talk sh%$ about the flag or government. See what happens. The whole reason he can b%& and moan is because of that flag. On top of that he had white adoptive parents I believe which he then became a multi million dollar athlete. . Really? What a clown.
Those shoes btw are selling for 2K now. FTW capitalism.
And IKEA instead of being a passive aggressive little b%& why don't say what you mean. Calling me a redneck/nazi? You're a idiot.
And I have faced racism in NY. I'm Irish/Sicilian. Douche.

Never understood the obsession with flags. You cannot disrespect a flag... for the most part they are just fragments of cloth.
But for some they are held up as a "symbol" of a greater truth or idea.
What a gossamer thin symbolism it must be when not two people in ten can come to an agreement on what they represent...

I'm usually really passive on these forums, but this subject rubs me wrong...
Sorry but for me, anything Kaepernick does holds no weight for me after the whole sit down during the national anthem thing that pretty much cost him a career in football. Not saying I agree with slavery or none like that, so don't go there. But Kaepernick is a little biatch that's always looking for an axe to grind about something. If he wanted to protest treatment of various minorities that's one thing...but sitting for the national anthem is another. Completely disrespectful to the Country that was allowing the little twit to earn millions to play football. Try that kind of protest in Russia, China or ay of those countries and if the police or government don't end you then your fellow countrymen will. Specifically those that fought for that country's beliefs in a war.
The Betsy Ross flag stands for a lot more than slavery. That was just one of the (maybe the most) unfortunate things in existence at that time. Or should we wipe out American History (like it never happened) to anything before the mid 1800's when slavery was abolished?

Try that kind of protest in Russia, China or ay of those countries and if the police or government don't end you then your fellow countrymen will. Specifically those that fought for that country's beliefs in a war. This has nothing to do with the issue, and actually weakens your argument. The Betsy Ross flag stands for a lot more than slavery. That was just one of the (maybe the most) unfortunate things in existence at that time. Or should we wipe out American History (like it never happened) to anything before the mid 1800's when slavery was abolished? This is an actual argument and I respect it. No one is arguing to wipe out history, though. It's pointing out to Nike that putting a Betsy Ross flag on a pair of shoes is not a smart move for their business. The majority of their sponsored athletes, along with a large portion of their consumer base, are African-American. Nike can do plenty well with red white and blue shoes, or even shoes with the current flag on it, without invoking a slavery-era flag, which also happens to be one that plenty of white nationalist groups are using for their own symbolism. That flag can exist in history and in discussions without Nike using it to make money.
