I saw mroola working on mapping a certain track earlier....I won’t say which... I've been wanting to do that course since I played the front 9 last year. Not sure I'm doing it right. Maybe you could help out if needed? I haven't figured all this stuff out yet as I'm not too computer savvy, so not sure how LIDAR stuff works. I'll head back in tomorrow in OSM at least |

I haven’t figured it out yet either. I can do some tracing though. I’ll hop in and help if I have a shot. Still trying to figure out how to get the one I finished working

Fishers Island is done. I requested the LIDAR data, but I think it can only be sent in bulk so I may get like an entire coastline worth of .las files. Not sure if I'll get any good data out of it, and I still don't understand how to get EPSG numbers when needed. EDIT: Oooooh, nevermind. I think I got it. |

Anyone working on the course at Yale yet? I noticed someone mapped it out over a year ago (I think), so I don't think it's anyone here. Regardless, wouldn't want to get into it if someone else is already doing so.

So I’ve been dying to get Bandon Dunes in this game. I’m not good enough to design it but I can do the OSM if nobody else has started. I know theclv24 had them on his list. |

It looks like a member of the sim forum has done Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails. Bandon Dunes is not done, nor is Old MacDonald, although I've heard that the Old Mac lidar predates the construction of the course so it may not be usable. I would also say the Pacific and Trails OSM looks a little crude with lots of sharp edges, so if you plan on taking either of those on I would suggest investing some time in adding a little more detail to the OSM data. |

Could somebody who knows what they are doing take a look at the OSM for Sunday River Country Club (18 Championship Drive, Newry, ME 04261)? I was looking to take this one on (if the lidar is avaialable), but it looks like somebody has already mapped out the course over a year ago. I'm just wondering if the work they did on the holes looks acceptable? He did a pretty detailed mapping of the whole area, so I'm not sure how that would effect import.
Just poking around and there are definitely a few things that need to be updated. He's marked the greens as "leisure" areas, cart paths as roads and missed a few tee boxes and bunkers. More curious about the mapping of the surfaces though. Part of me wants to go in and mark them more precisely, but the other part of me feels bad about messing with his work. I guess that's what its all about though.

If I were you, I'd just send the previous editor on OSM a message and let him know you're going to go in and update the courses mapping with more accurate labels/categories and add additional areas that had previously been missed. |

I had intentions of mapping one of my favorite courses from the Tree Tops resort....Rick Smith Signature. However, it appears that there is no Lidar for that area. So, I found a course north of Chicago...Wynstone Golf Club. It’s a Jack Nicholas course design. It looks to have Lidar and as far as I could see, no mapping. I started mapping this morning.

Looks like someone already completed OSM for Glen Mills, Crystal Downs (poorly), and started it for Whiskey Creek while Canyata isn't even labeled as a 'golf course' yet. Ballyhack, Back Brook, Galloway, Kinloch, Jasna Polana, Rockaway had not been started.
Baltimore Country Club has no LiDAR?!
