Goes to show it's a tough contest - there was lots about Blackheart Cove I really liked and would have been interested to see the reactions; it was certainly tough!

mayday_golf83 - if you have any of the judges' full notes on Blackheart, please could you send them over?
Thanks for running the contest everyone - good luck to the remaining contestants.

Great first contest course from Vlad - as all the streams mentioned, the ideas were really good and very creative; really looking forward to seeing your next course. Awesome feedback from mayday_golf83 as well

Just to repeat what mayday said earlier: If you'd like to see judges' comments/scores after your course has been announced, please send me a PM and I will try and get them to you as soon as I can.

thanks b101 it was fun for sure few stupid technical issues I missed did not help such missed area when brushing on ten due to the shade those poles on the fence on 2 tee. I have been approached to go on web so thats pleasing. Feedback was great from mayday and the judges cant thank them enough.
Thanks Pithy for sending me the feedback. I done some restructure that 12th loved comment it would been seen from the moon lol. It never worked what had in mind it did look out kilt to other holes effected flow. So moved water in planted trees narrowed it up for tour version. I am considering turning 18 to par 4 only worry is will alter par to 71 alternative is to move green closer to clubhouse..

I want to thank everyone in the contest and the people judging/running it as well. I want to thank the judges for being really honest in their reviews and I want to thank everyone who’s supported me throughout the contest. Thank you Mr. Mayo for having me in the contest this year, it was an amazing experience and it wouldn’t be the same without everyone being so supportive. I do want to announce that yes, I am going to study golf course architecture and Meteorology as majors at either Rutgers or Trinity College in Ireland. Can’t wait to push out my new masterpiece in the CC contest for you guys! Cheers!

I genuinely now look at any par other than 72 as a positive thing, so wouldn't worry about it - shows some creativity and flexibility with routing rather than just sticking rigidly to a number. Two of my favourite ever courses I've played (Swinley Forest and Rye) have a par of 69 and 68 respectively, for example. Both are flipping tough, too...

Wow, I think I had Empire Pines higher in my mind, so this is about to get very interesting!

Susquehannock is actually a par 73 course for the "realistic" layout Members edition, but I've always loved courses that you can play holes as long or short as you want, and the par can go either way on a number of holes. I also just got out to TPC Old White the other day to play for the first time, and it's a par 34 front and 36 back, and the first par 5 isn't until the 12th hole. It's such a refreshing and challenging layout, and it makes you think "this is unique and interesting".

It couldn't handle the sheer awesomeness of the course and the difficulty of the green design. Judging is completely subjective, obviously, but to me personally this one is one of the best I've played in TGC. I don't come across too many courses that have hole locations that are tucked, with small and nuanced greens that rival this one. Please keep designing more like this.
