It's not an all clubs tour - it's an all-beginner clubs tour. Pro/Master clubs will not be present. What choice does a player that likes to play some rounds on beginner and some on pro in the same event have? I ask because surely there are players here that do this. I am guessing they will have to decide to go pro at a minimum or play beginner only? I'm assuming on the beginner clubs tour they would have to use beginner only for all 4 rounds. Perhaps between rounds they can practice with pro outside of the tourney on the same course if they really wanted to..

It will be interesting seeing how many on CC tours switch to pro clubs instead of dropping onto the beginner tour, I could imagine the beginner tour not having a great many players.

Now if we could only lock off the feedback, the follow cam, the aiming marker, ghost balls ball trails and the flag marker. We could call it the " grab your clubs and go play real golf tour".

This announcement has devastated me! I am in CC-Z and struggle even there. I play with a mouse and beginner clubs are my only chance of vague respectability. I have tried to use Pro Clubs with disastrous results. I have virtually no control over tempo and spend more time in deep rough and water then is acceptable, when using them. When I was classified as Z, I accepted that and thought 'at least I don't have to worry about relegation'. However I was wrong! I am sure there are sandbaggers in CC-Z using Beginner Clubs judging by the scores at the top, and this has to be addressed, but it seems as if the genuine Zedders like myself that don't have any choice other than beginner clubs, have been cast aside to suffer derision in the forums. eg the huggies remark. The choice is a hard one, but I have to accept that after 4 years playing TGC in it's various forms, I am now destined to be classified as a "beginner". I suppose it will teach me humility, but I feel as if I am headed for the "TGCT Care Home" brianfuller75 I just wanted to respond to your post because I can understand what is going on with some mouse players having hard times and rather than tell you switch to controller as I am sure some have. What I will try to do is give you a bit of advice that might help you in your swing. Mind you I play controller and you know that I was a former mouse user and frustrated with how the mouse reacts in the game, but I have still taken time each day to try and get back to the mouse as my preferable way of playing. So with that being said I will tell you what I have done. 1. I set my in game sensitivity to 0 mouse drivers were at default DPI x1000/y1000 2. I went to practice tee and hit some shots to see what the DPI/ sensitivity did in comparison with my mouse swing. As you know HB recommends anything around 800/1000 DPI you can start at those levels and increase or decrease the sensitivity IN GAME or in DPI setting a step at a time. Making sure that your dpi settings are not so low that you are getting to straight of a swing that you wont pass API. 3. Important advice: do no try to swing your mouse like you did in TGC2 (drawing back and forward at the same speed using your arm/wrist for mouse movement or any pausing at the top of swing) Practice using your index finger draw back the mouse ever so lightly watch player until they get to top of swing and then with index finger again push forward ever so lightly. If you try it this way and it will take a little getting used to you will see that you have less of a chance hitting a crazy wayward shot out of the cone. If your mouse pointer bugs you move to the left or right of your screen's edge this can also help in gauging how much back/forward movement you might need. Think of it as a ruler knowing where your player is at the top of his swing I kept upping the DPI in my mouse drivers/and or my in game sensitivity a few steps at a time until I could get a perfect on the bottom when I followed through my swing. Once able to do that you know you have the correct sensitivity set and now just have to work on your forward motion of the mouse Even so if you can get the perfect on the back swing and your are hitting fast or slow can be quite manageable and sometimes to an advantage. I hope this helps you in your quest to becoming better and having less struggles and I can only ask any other mouse players to chime in to help those who need help like Brian. He is one of our eldest players and proud of it and just a wonderful man to get to know. Comments like the Huggies Group when said in jest can sting a little bit for people our age, so I get where he is coming from on that. You can always message me in Steam, Brian if you have any questions but you already know that This is how I have worked on my mouse, this does not mean it works for everyone but it did get me to where I feel I could play mouse again if I wanted to, with a bit more practice under my belt. Maybe it will help you also

Interesting to see how many currently play beginner clubs and how many will play on the beginners tour.It has to have a big effect on the player numbers in the big boys tours.May even have to reduce the number of cc tours again. Q.What happens if 40 or so CC-A players decide to go beginner tour? Will 40 auto promote from CC-B? Beginner usage throughout all active players was only around 12%, so if there are 2300 total active, that's only about 270ish players, roughly about 35 per CC, so they could easily be re-balance if need be. Once the promotions/ demotions start to occur, it'll shake itself out.. Let's not forget that this appears to be following the 1st promotion event so I'm assuming this decision was with this in mind to rebalance everything then.

Indeed, also of the current beginner users, some will decide to go to the beginner club tour, while others will adopt at least the pro clubs to stay on their current tour.. Either way, there's a place for everyone!

I think we have to commend the guys who run this site for being proactive and making a big decision like this so early in the season.
It's absolutely the right way to go IMO And I would have taken it further by continuing to award promotion points to Masters users regardless of finish. For example 2 slots for Pro and 8 for Masters in CC-A down to 8 for Pro and 2 for Masters in CC -F.

Not after the change on site. You can play a against all clubsets by viewing the in game leaderboards - but that would exclude the other two systems.

I too want to commend the team here on this decision.
I have been using the Pro club set and play pretty well in CC-A. (Well, better last week than this week so far!) I always planned to switch up to Master clubs and shoot for further career advancement. As pointed out by others, in the current system this is very challenging, as I would need to place highly in CC-A with the Masters clubs, beating many folks who currently use Pro clubs but would probably place high in Web, Euro, or even PGA if using Masters clubs. With the new system, I can (hopefully) get promoted to Web based on Pro club use and then switch to Masters clubs and try to compete at that next level. With continued play and practice, try to advance even further. (As an Xbox player, advancing further with Masters clubs will be even more challenging!)
