No promotions out of the Beginners tour. If you're a new player and you elect to start in the Beginners tour, you can leave at any time by registering for and playing the weekly Q-School event. If you move there after already having had a regular tour card, you have to wait a certain number of weeks before playing Q-School. How do you sign up for the beginners tour, asking for a mate of mine that plays on the tours but isn’t on the forum. He likes playing the golf but has lots of other games he spends time on as well so prefers the beginner clubs It will be an option in your profile when it is added in i think week 4.

Still learning the ropes and finding my way around so forgive me if this is out of turn but wouldn't it make sense for CC-A to be Masters only as this should be seen as the proving ground for the big tours? Under this scenario, you could make the same argument about CC-B: why not have CC-B be all Masters so that CC-B becomes the proving ground. Tim explained on the stream that it was easier and less confusing to draw the line of demarcation at Web.com. All of CC can use Pro or Master; Web, Euro and PGA have to use Master. It's very easy to explain and remember. Tim was originally on board with your idea, but the group discussed all the scenarios and came up with what they thought would be the best for everyone. Pure speculation...but good luck to all trying to use Masters only for a Web promotion or any promotion in upper CC. For XB...pray alot.

Is any thought being given to XBox masters players taking a voluntary step back a tour? I realise we ended up where we did based on what we shot and nothing’s changed, just figured I’d throw it out there while you’re not very busy 😉 Yup Join the beginners tour and stay 4 weeks, redo Q-SCHOOL and get the tour you want Sure...as long as it St. Bedes again.

So if I want to play against all three clubsets can I do this by dropping down to the beginner tour?
Ps...beginner tour is a bit patronising as there will be many great putters on it who are better than beginners. Can it be renamed to something like All Clubs Tour?

If I’m reading it right you can only use beginner clubs on that tour.

We will call it the Beginner Clubs Tour. That speaks to the clubset you can use (which is the entire purpose) not the player ability, per se.

thank you to the admins for making the changes and giving people who choose to play beginners clubs a place to play. im hyped. it will be like old tgc1. everybody uses the same clubs and no tempo issues. i love this game but i dont have the time or patience to learn to hit masters clubs. i just want to enjoy hitting great shots.
thanks for all the work you guys put in to this community

It's not an all clubs tour - it's an all-beginner clubs tour. Pro/Master clubs will not be present.

This announcement has devastated me! I am in CC-Z and struggle even there. I play with a mouse and beginner clubs are my only chance of vague respectability. I have tried to use Pro Clubs with disastrous results. I have virtually no control over tempo and spend more time in deep rough and water then is acceptable, when using them. When I was classified as Z, I accepted that and thought 'at least I don't have to worry about relegation'. However I was wrong! I am sure there are sandbaggers in CC-Z using Beginner Clubs judging by the scores at the top, and this has to be addressed, but it seems as if the genuine Zedders like myself that don't have any choice other than beginner clubs, have been cast aside to suffer derision in the forums. eg the huggies remark. The choice is a hard one, but I have to accept that after 4 years playing TGC in it's various forms, I am now destined to be classified as a "beginner". I suppose it will teach me humility, but I feel as if I am headed for the "TGCT Care Home" You need to find a mouse that works with the game and just use it for that, I use an old Technika mouse for golf it started to break up so I found an identical one on ebay, I cannot play with the logitech mouse I use for windows, it is so erratic it makes the game unplayable so I can understand why some mouse users have a lot of trouble, try some older sturdier mice and you should find one that you can play with.

What choice does a player that likes to play some rounds on beginner and some on pro in the same event have? I ask because surely there are players here that do this. I am guessing they will have to decide to go pro at a minimum or play beginner only?

Interesting to see how many currently play beginner clubs and how many will play on the beginners tour.It has to have a big effect on the player numbers in the big boys tours.May even have to reduce the number of cc tours again. Q.What happens if 40 or so CC-A players decide to go beginner tour? Will 40 auto promote from CC-B?

Beginner usage throughout all active players was only around 12%, so if there are 2300 total active, that's only about 270ish players, roughly about 35 per CC, so they could easily be re-balance if need be. Once the promotions/ demotions start to occur, it'll shake itself out..
