What version is the Ryder Cup going to be played on, 2 or 19? Plan is 2019 barring any unforeseen reasons to bail. You might not be sure yet, but what week (i.e. the Tour Championships for World/PGA is week 48) is the planned last week for season 4? Is it 48? Would like to know for end of season stuff on TST. |

DoyleyLooks like the Rocher points have got a little messed up (at least for some people) in the update yesterday: Last week I was at about 90th with 95 points (which seemed about right from the events I've played) - this week (despite a 40th place finish at the Wyndham), I now appear at 51st with 792 points!!!!!

So quick question, I am fairly new to playing here. I was Web.com, played on Euro Tour last week with an exemption and now have an exemption to the PGA this week, but I shouldn't be eligible to play in the Barclays because i haven't played any PGA events and am not ranked, is that correct?

So quick question, I am fairly new to playing here. I was Web.com, played on Euro Tour last week with an exemption and now have an exemption to the PGA this week, but I shouldn't be eligible to play in the Barclays because i haven't played any PGA events and am not ranked, is that correct? You can play it, but I suspect your scores won’t appear on the scoreboard. You should get to use your exemption in the first week of next season, but you may need to contact admin as the new game will have been released. Well done getting to the PGA 👍 |

We'll limit the field for the last event. |

Is this gonna start happening to the tour playoffs every year now that it looks like a new game will release every year? Half the fun in playing every week from October until this time of the year is to try and position yourself to get into the top 30 of the tour so you can play in the final tour championship. It would be one thing if it happened midseason and we missed a couple of tournaments but just letting everyone advance through the playoffs makes the entire season seem like a waste of time. If its just this year and last that's ok but if this becomes a yearly thing maybe something should be done with the playoffs.

I know if I was in position to win the FedEx cup or even a chance to make the final tournament I wouldn't stop playing just because a new game came out. I spend way to many hours of my life on these tours just to stop playing during the playoffs. The guys that don't advance in the playoffs can have some extra practice in the new game and get a head start on the rest of the tour. |

No reason to stop playing the game other than people have grown tired of it. I guarantee you, Brad, Sloaner and Hippy are going to finish out, but without the points reset can anyone catch Brad? We'll see.

I would love confirmation that the official fed ex cup playoff system will be in effect for the 2019 season before I spend $60 on the new game. This site is the only reason I still play this game but the season feels incomplete without official playoffs.

Going through this every year without a playoff that isn't true like we had in seasons 1 and 2 feels incomplete. At least we have one this year, although it is just for the top two tours only and the points reset isn't happening before the playoffs start or before the Tour Championship(s).
Maybe if this becomes a yearly release at this time of year, TGCT can come up with a way to finish playoff events each year while simultaneously getting ready for the new version. Those that wish to move on can practice the new game only while the old game finishes up for a few weeks.

Not sure where you have got your info that there is a points reset before the RL playoffs Bob (cos there isn't) - the only reset is before the tour champs. So if that was introduced the format would be identical to RL already
