It's been a couple years since we had a full fledged playoff in place for TGC Tours - and unfortunately that will continue through to TGC 2019. With the new game slated to come out any day, we're going to be all hands on deck preparing for the transition. As such, we're going with a simplified playoff system that will only affect PGA and World Tour members. The rest of TGC Tours will proceed as if it were a normal week of golf right through to season's end.
UPDATE - with release date now known - going to open up playoff to all except for last event.
PGA/World Tour playoff fields (based off FedEx/Rocher points) The Barclays - all PGA/World Tour players Deutsche Bank Championship - all PGA/World Tour players BMW Championship - all PGA/World Tour players TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola - Top 30 (PGA), Top 30 (World Tour) ** no reset of FedEx/Rocher points/seeding
World Tour Promotions will be turned off during the playoffs - Strikes disabled
Season 5 We'll release details on Season 5's format in the coming weeks. Thanks for a great season and good luck the final few weeks!

No points reset will make the season championship pretty straightforward...kind of a bummer.
But, understandable, appreciate all the effort that goes on behind the scenes here, and for the update.

Will the CC tours just end at week 44 then and we will have several weeks of no tournaments or will we have tournaments until season 5 starts?

@spartan4knight, CC Tours will continue through week 48. We just haven't found suitable courses yet for Weeks 46-48 (rangering is underway).

Where or how do you see the top lists? Never really understood how that worked lol, because I was always in the lower tiers but now I'm the PGA, just recently made it up, barely played tournaments and playing bad, so pretty sure I ain't part of it lol but just to learn how to see it and how it works

Dumb question from me here - given that I only just got promoted to WT then does it mean that I’ll miss out on most events due to having very few ranking points?

Are people who are inactive going to be removed from the lists each week? Similar to how they aren't eligible for majors, why should they be eligible for the playoffs and effectively stop an active player getting in.....
Also need to remove those who are listed twice (eg Scott Fulton - 3rd and 61st in the Rocher points, Rob Dallas 9th and 95th)

Is the tour structure going to be the same next season and will everyone who is in the World Tour when the playoffs start going to be in the World Tour at the start of next season?

Yes, inactive guys will be skipped as well but will stay on the points lists. I'll just have to filter them out and post the fields per week.
