Can I ask for some clarity around entrants being assisted by experienced designers please ErixonStone Just so we are all abiding by the same rules I think we should make a formal decision on what is and what is not allowed. For example I know Griff refuses to look at any course that was part of a competition (which I agree with) as it would give an u fair advantage. Granted it was his competition but I still think some clarity on this wouldn’t hurt. If it’s a free for all that’s ok but at some point the courses will be separated by the assistance given and not the rookies actual efforts. Just a thought. I’m looking forward to having another go. You will be allowed to post WIP Threads. You will be allowed to create Betas and ask experienced designers for help.
You will not be allowed to do a course-file swap so that an experienced designer can make changes for you.
We want to encourage newer designers to reach out to our amazing design community. We don't want designers to be locked in their own shell. At the end of the day, we want designers to improve their skills and create quality courses. We don't really want to tell any of the entrants that their course isn't good (I have no problem doing so, but want all the courses to be good). So get help. Make friends. Have fun participating.
This contest is offering a chance to host a virtual golf event for about 500 players. We are not offering a prize with any real-world value.

Stick me down as a 'possibly maybe' to enter - although based on my minimal brief visits to the designer in the past few weeks, that will probably turn into a 'sorry but I've only completed about 3 holes' on deadline day

New guy here... I would be interested in working on a course for this event, and especially in getting some constructive critical feedback.

If I can be of help to any of the "newer" designers for this, please let me know. I'm going to slightly re-organize my "TGC life" for the next game, and I'd say I'll be putting more like 75% into the design side of the game, and 25% into the playing side of the game. Outside of TGCT PGA, I'm not sure I'll play much, as there are things on the design side I'd rather do, like build courses and help others. So, with that said, if anyone wants to reach out, feel free, I'll do my best to offer constructive feedback.

Started watching some of your old Twitch streams today to get a head start. I just created a thread yesterday in the WIP area for my course.

Sign me up please. I have 3 published courses, 0 on tours.
Thanks, should be fun.
-Joe Connors
Edit - I'll actually have 4 published assuming my last one on TCG2 passes. Won't be making any more until the new game.

I am a total noob with playing and even more with course design. In fact I have never even looked at it but this looks cool and fun. I am always up for learning something new.
I would like to join this, please.

I'll throw my hat in the ring as one of those willing to help (even though I'm not very experienced).
If you're a designer looking for some feedback, then drop me a PM along the way.

Sure thing Taylor, I'll follow along. So I can’t enter this contest unfortunately because I started my course about 3 weeks ago but I will still take all the help I can get if you guys don’t mind helping out a rookie.

Considering some form of involvement in this. Have always had interest in designing a course but have always lacked the initiative to actually try so I have no experience in the truest sense of the word. I do have judging experience though so if I don't work up the courage to try something new I could always fall back on that. I've got time to think about it, so I'll take advantage of that before I make a decision one way or the other.

Going up against these guys in an open comp was not fun. I’ve come back to try to avoid coming last again
