I vote probably not. When that swing cast thing was on for tgc1 after 2 came out it was a chore to get the rounds in and that was for $. Honestly you should just take a week or 2 of exhibition then continue the season as is. So for two weeks you have tourney rounds on tgc2 and exhibition on tgc2019.

Also, seeing as how HB just basically said via a post by one of them this morning that the putt-preview BS is NOT going to be an option for restriction on day 1, I think "we" as TGCTours players - not to mention Scott and the rest of the admin crew here - are in for a rough ride with the new game. The things I've read from the HB folks in the past week or so don't make it seem like it would be a quick or easy transition for TGCT into '19. I think TGCT should wait or “boycott” the new game until it’s suitable for comptetitive play (No pre-views etc). I expect TST to do this as such arcade BS is against everything the TST has built. Either way I assume HB will break data collection thru API costing Tim countless hours to repair / get back to a working state.... |

Finish the season - obvs. Loads of solid reasons already stated. Providing some balance to the anti-HB debate... They specifically created the API by request from TGCT... not many games studios would cater for a fan site with such an expensive bit of development - these things are not trivial to write and also require ongoing maintenance & hosting = $$$. We all have opinions about what they're doing wrong sure, but they have also done a lot right. Still the best golf sim to be found, right? That's all, please place back on your steel toe caps & resume kicking... That was done under the direction of Mr Kyne - who actually understood how to make a game that people build a relationship to and form a community around... |

Voted to finish with TGC 2. As stated the new game will have issues like all new games do . Plus it will give people time to get used to it.
I am hopeful they will patch the ability to turn off the putting preview BS.

The thing is if HBS do sort out TGC2019, do I want to play the rest of the season on an inferior golf game in TGC2. I have limited time to play TGC2, just can't see myself playing 2 golf games. I will just play the one I prefer and sit out the rest of the season.The multiplayer and chipping,pitching and flop shot are hugely improved, two huge reasons for me to choose TGC2019

I think talk of boycotting tgc2019 is going a bit far they will probably patch it shortly after release. If they don’t then it was nice knowing some of you.

What happens in 2019? Is Tgc20 coming out and we have the same thing all over Again? Probably a fair chance of exactly that happening. HB hasn’t denied that the franchise will become an annual release. Over on their forum they replied with something along the lines that by adding the “2019” it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re following the EA model. In my cumulative years of experience, “not necessarily” in such cases = yes. |

In reality, HB should really think about buying TGCT and hire our admin to run it. This way they could promote TGCT at launch and garner thousands of more committed game players and future purchasers of the game. If you think about it, only a fraction of The Golf Club base even knows TGCT exists. This would only increase the value of the game, and in turn, HB would make a concerted effort to accommodate TGCT, knowing it's a huge draw to getting new customers, and keeping them! It seems like a smart business decision to me, and a win/win for all invested.

One has to think that when the game comes out there will be a lot of negative posts about the PP. I do not see how it would be fair for the guys in the top 30 to change games near the end of the season when it really matters. For bottom feeders like myself it really does not matter. |
