I think I might have settled on a look for Kingston Heath. This is the 5th hole.

I have just now noticed this contest. Love the idea of a RCR course contest for our designers!

I've put out a test version of Briarcliff under the name BHCC1 If you fancy a sneak peek. Was just testing the winds really, but all comments are welcome too.

Do we have firm due dates for these yet? I'm sure I'm overdue for what the original deadline was, but I'm also happy to just take my time with things if we're waiting on the release of TGC2019.

Can't remember the due dates either. I'm most definitely behind schedule at this point. Almost done with hole 1 though and have all 18 plotted. Working title is Great Western John WG. Homestead Not exactly rolling off the tongue, but it's something. Two screens of hole 1.

I haven't set any due dates for now, as we still have no idea (right?) when TGC 2019 is coming out. I would just say to focus on producing the best course possible, and don't worry about the due date.

Found this little thing the other day, would be a great resource for anyone thinking of doing a Bandon course (or who just wants to study them in more detail). envisage.golf/bandondunes/

Hole Flyovers from Royal County Down's 11th & 12th hole.
Both holes play with blind tee shots, the first over a 30 foot hill onto a heavily sloping fairway from right to left. Strangely enough when the Irish Open was on here in 2015, players were opting to miss the fairway left for a flatter lie.
12 then plays as a relatively short Par 5, but the fairway gets very narrow in the landing area. When the wind is blowing hard then 3 wood might be the better option.
Playing this course TST I feel should really capture it's true difficulty. The actual course also doesn't tend to have a progression of surfaces from fairway to light rough to heavy rough, so have kept to that natural wild Irish heavy rough.
Had a few issues with planting fairway surfaces in a few spots, game glitch I'm assuming so had to re route a few holes which has delayed the process.
