Yeah I’ll be using the ladies clubs for the PGA. Might even get me a 7 wood lol. Are you not on the Rocher tour? Yeah, just going to do it as a comparison. See my post a few up.

Let me ask you all a question. And I'm being dead serious here. How many tournies in season 4 do you think are going to be won with Player clubs in PGA and Euro? I know the answer but I want to know what you guys think. 99.5% Wags.. Perfectly straight every time? Nope...cannot happen. Well it can but you will get a email saying your scores were removed. I can speak from experience. Ridiculously low scores? Nope....will still -40 to -56 up and down the entire tour landscape which is already dumb if compared to real golf but this isnt real golf. I will make a educated prediction that a really good Player can and will beat an average to good Tour from time to time especially using good course management. There is just too much diversity from player to player on thinking, decision making, skill level, risk taking, composure, lag, kids screaming upstairs, alcohol consumption, ball lies, ect....before introducing clubs Also...scores will be relatively the same as we have seen at the top but there could be many more scores that are 12 to 20 shots behind the leader. So in essense, the middle group of average scoring players will get fatter because of club diversity which could raise the cut line by a stroke or two. In the end...it means next to nothing big picture which is why i dont get all riled up about the decision. That is...until the admins start paying me real money to play this game or i can use my tour winnings on some home improvement projects i have planned. So you think 99.5% of the tournies will be won with Player clubs. Or is that 99.5% with Tour Clubs? Just want to make sure. The answer is, none. No tournies will be won with Player Clubs.

Doyle...thank you. I will be playing this game again after the thoughtful changes. This was obviously about what's best for the group and the elites seem pissed. You are all still the cream of the crop. IMO changes allow the rest of us peons to have fun as well. See, this type of post just isn't helpful. It's got absolutely nothing to do with being elitist and everything to do with the perception that this may not be a level playing field. It's not supposed to be a handicap system. But as I've already said, I have a suspicion this may end up being a non issue anyway. @bigm, I hope you do what you've said and play the PGA with Players clubs. It will be very interesting to see how one of the better players gets on against the field. We'll have some actual facts to work with rather than all this supposition!

Got a week to get it done, should be able to do it most weeks if people want to know the results 👍

I think you will see a winner with Player clubset on the European Tour. Maybe not the PGA (but still maybe), but I would not be surprised on the Euro to have it happen at least once.

Burtoncat is in the clubhouse at -57 with player clubs. I’ll be surprised if anyone beats that.

WGR is 51, but I don't think he played in the last 5 weeks of S3, so on PGA. Someone mentioned swapping the analog L to R or R to L and something clicked for him and now he seems to be back.

I'm a little confused. What's his WGR? I thought he was in the World Tour. WGR is 51, but I don't think he played in the last 5 weeks of S3, so on PGA. Someone mentioned swapping the analog L to R or R to L and something clicked for him and now he seems to be back. Well that explains it. He doesn't belong in the PGA. Not playing the last 5 weeks just to get demoted isn't a fair test for this. By all rights, according to the distribution, he should have been placed in the World Tour. But, having said that, this makes for a very interesting situation. Guys on the bubble on the World Tour, if they feel they can't compete up there with Tour Clubs, when sent back to PGA, will most likely switch to Player Ciubs and, still being among the best in the game, will end up dominating the PGA. Well, for one week anyway until they're sent back to the World Tour. And then the cycle keeps repeating. I didn't account for this. But you see now we're in the same situation that we were in when there was no World Tour. The top PGA guys are going to dominate, just like they did in TGC 1. With this constant reshuffling between tours, it's unlikely that the goal of splitting the tours (to create diversity among the winners) is going to actually pan out that way. But that's a whole different can of worms. So yeah, rethinking this, it could very well end up that almost every week on the PGA the winner is using Player Clubs IF he's somebody who rightfully belongs in the World Tour. This week is probably going to highlight that reality quite well. Still, I'm holding out hope that somebody will beat him, though quite unlikely. Interesting. Very interesting.

Predictable I’d have thought. When you know exactly where you are going to hit it, it’s a simple task to chart distances and work out wind and elevation equations and be you’ll be playing a prettier version of TGC1. Still gotta be able to putt though...
