Good Morning everyone. I posted a few questions in the CC-A thread but in order for me to get a better understanding of what is happening, I'm going to post here in order to get more responses from the experienced players. My questions are as follows: I'm in the first CC-A event and currently in 4th place after round 3 (great possibility to make top 2, not bad for my first year here and first event I think). My questions: 1) What does an "exemption" mean and how does that benefit me? Can it be used against me in any way? 2) It seems that after doing a little research, an "exemption" will bump me up a tour, which will (I guess) add me to the web.com tour. What are the benefits of moving up or down a tour? (Better prize money, WGR ranking?) 3) Regardless of whether I move up or down in tours, do my winnings, ranking, etc incorporate ALL tours throughout the year? 4) What does a "strike" mean? Missing the cut, not playing......things like that?
Thanks to anyone who can explain some of these details for me.

An exemption is given when you finish (usually) in the top 10% of the field in your tour. It means you move up to the tour above for the following week, where you need to make the cut (in PGA/Euro/Web) or finish above the strike line (in CC) If you do that, then you get a permanent card for that tour. Rankings incorporate all tours - the higher the tour, the more ranking points you can receive - and hence the higher WGR you are likely to get.
A strike is when you have a bad tournament - miss the cut (PGA/Euro/Web) or finish in the bottom 1/2 of the field (CC) - you get one strike for that, or two strikes if you are below 100th place. 5 strikes = demotion to the tour below. But if you make a cut / finish top half in any event, it clears all your strikes.
Not playing an event now affects nothing - you only get strikes etc if you hit a shot in a tournament.

I would like to know the actual numbers on the Euro last week. I missed the cut with my tour clubs due to the fact they actually punish you for not hitting it straight. Anyone know how many ppl in the top 25 used tour clubs the whole tournament versus player clubs??? Also curious about the Euro winner???

Just done the front 9 with no bogies, about 5 under.
Then the back 9 +8.
You're doing round after round, course after course, tournament after tournament straight as a die?
Behave.

Those same tour clubs cost me atleast 15-20 should over the last 3 rounds. There's no doubt in my mind I would have scored better with player clubs with the exception of my first round where for once I hit it generally straight and didn't have occasional tempo issues. What's up Dean! Been a long time my friend. I hope all is well with you and that you are making your way up the tours.

I'm struggling down the tours rather than making my way up, just can't hit it straight and can't putt. Made the cut on the web in the first week but finished last. Didn't make the cut this week. Heading back to CC!
