So just to be clear, the art of the deal is to bring candy to a meeting then storm out when it doesn’t go your way???
Cool 😎

This will do me....
Nichols offered a jaw-dropping example. In 2015, Public Policy Polling asked primary voters in both parties whether they would support bombing Agrabah — the fictional country in the Disney film “Aladdin.” Nearly one-third of Republicans favored bombing; only 13 percent were opposed. Democrats’ percentages were roughly reversed
Republicans are morons, it’s that simple...

My goodness this man can tell lies. He absolutely said Mexico would pay for the wall up front. It was on his campaign website. $5-10 billion DIRECT from Mexico But worse, no one (that matters) really gives a crap. As for a "national security" scam on this wall, GOP better think twice before getting behind that. If you do it for a Republican Prez then it's going to happen with a Democratic one. Do GOPers ( i was going to say conservatives but they are now extinct) really want a liberal Prez to wield that kind of power? Lol, careful what you wish for

Pelosi got it right when she said he was bordering on delusional.

Who? HOUSTON!
Who? FLINT!
Who? NORTH CAROLINA!

This whole thing is just asinine. At this point, I'm more frustrated with the GOP congressman who are enabling this to continue. Mitch McConnell will go down as one of the most devious, divisive, self-serving leaders of a party in political history. It shouldn't be this hard, and when donald goes the national emergency route, that is definitely not what democracy is supposed to look like.
But gee, who could have seen something like this coming...

But gee, who could have seen something like this coming...We tried to warn them about this particular guy before they voted for him. I lmao'd when he lied yesterday saying he said no such thing. Even funnier were the hacks coming on TV and trying to explain what they thought he meant > "He never really meant Mexico would pay for it, it was just campaign talk"..... kinda like locker room talk i guess. No one ever means what they say anymore. Extremely convenient. A POTUS who needs 17 lawyers while in office is never good for the country. And that conspiracy/collusion thing.... it happened. He's a damn traitor above everything else.

Don't get me started on McConnell.... he deserves his own "Horrible human being" thread.

In an odd way, the left could allow Trump to go through with the "national emergency" thing, then when they get the next Democrat in office, he could use the same reasoning to launch some gun control/gun bans.
People in Chicago, Oakland, and other cities would make great arguments supporting the national emergency view in a much more realistic world view.
So, maybe this is the compromise needed to get to sensible gun control here.

That's a terribly autocratic precedent to set, and it's not anything I want our government to be doing, that's not democracy.

Agreed. Being able to play tit for tat doesn’t mean it’s a great idea. The people who designed your democracy wanted checks and balances, not a dictatorship.
I’m spending way too much time gobbling up every article on Trump and US politics at the moment, I really need it to come to a head so I can let it go lol.
