I consider shooting bad when I hit the rough with an out of cone shot nearly every time. We're all going to go into the rough occasionally; that's golf. I can get +12 and be satisfied. To me, shooting bad is not about score. It's about how I am striking the ball. If it's a push/pull/shank almost every shot, I'm shooting bad. I was speaking to wags, but yeah I hear you. What system do you play on? I have a slim PS4. I had to turn Bluetooth off and use the USB port with the cord. It works ALOT better. That's just with the controller that came with the system. |

Walt, I'd rather not say publicly what I did to my controller because I don't want to give people ideas. Let's just say it's a mod that the admins are away of and will be looking out for. Scott specifically told me to do it so that I don't quit the game altogether and can at least continue to ranger courses. I agreed as I felt I owed it to the community given all the trouble I've caused here. Aside from that, I really don't miss the game. I am so bad at it, even with the mod, that it's just no fun. But at least now I can somewhat keep the ball around the cone instead of fish hooking all over the place. I'm convinced that I must be the absolute worst player on the tour. Trust me, it's better off this way. How can it be that bad buddy? Have you watched any of the real PGA event this week. The cut was +5. I'm averaging around -5 on TGC2, that's with TOUR clubs. That's about right. I'm just curious what you consider shooting bad??? Seems like sooo many guys are pissed they can't shoot low 60's everytime and to me that's crazy. Not saying your 1 of them, but it can't be that bad. Esp. with an aiding controller. Dang you want the game to hit the ball for you too??? The last two PGA courses I tested, WITH the rigged controller, I shot 10 over and 8 over. Bad enough? |

I'm glad you're enjoying the game more but... Doesn't playing with an illegal controller defeat the purpose of rangering for tour? As far as what I've read, there is no illegal controller. You can play with whatever you want too according to the rules that came out a few days ago. I honestly have no idea. I was just going by wags saying he was using an illegal controller. I could care less about the rules now since I'm retiring from the tour lol |

When they're officially released, I'll let you know which ones they were if I can remember. |

I have a friend that just started playing. He sent me a picture today of him teeing off on a par 5 and his stroke count showed 2 while on the tee. He told me he was going to quit but told him to hold off on that. The flowing hole he got a 3 on a par 3 and it showed he bogied it as well. This happened on pinehurst #2 in our society event I created. Any reason why the game would glitch like that?

Just entered myself in the WinCo Foods Portland Open. Feels great to get back into a new season. When we start back up everyone gets auto registered each week, there will no longer be registrations. At least that was one of the first points by Doyley on page 1, unless there was an update over the last 49 pages. I'm guessing being able to register for next weeks upcoming event on the main page is just a left over feature from TGC1 until we go live with the TGC2 version. |

As far as i know you are pre-registered for events to prevent guys from doing late registrations and only posting scores if they play well. This is the best rule or addition ever done here....outside of mandating clubs of course. 😂

How in the heck can you be a Ranger when you are using a modified controller?? It's beyond me how you guys are nothing wrong with cheating. That's what it is plain and simple. I guess alot of you can't handle shooting realistic scores. I could see if I played 5-10 rounds a day. I play 2 sometimes 3 rounds daily and I have an occasional miss. You are using a modified controller and rangering as well. Wow, that's not right. Guess you guys don't find it rewarding to actually do it all yourself. Gotta have those controllers. Speaks volumes!!! |
