Players clubs are a joke - yeah, I said it and I mean it! by Andrea at 64 pages.......shall we just add them together so we have over 100 pages? Thread was locked.

That probably rounds out the top 3.
So we'll get to 63 pages and Andrea will start a row with Doyley. Gotcha 👍🏻 Well my research sucked after being corrected by jacobkessler I just went into the other video game thread and saw that No mans sky is up to 68 pages, don't think I've ever read more than 3 posts on that one. Maybe that will be the first to break 100 pages? |

I spent my whole time playing tgc1 missing the 3 click swing of past golf games because with 3 click everything wasn't so automatic and straight. You still had to execute the shot. Never thought HB could improve the swing so much but they have for me. Hazards that never really came into play on the great courses before are very much there with an unwanted fast or slow downswing. I have already been in more fairway bunkers in tgc2 than I have in 3 years of tgc1 Yep, this. It's amazing how much better the RCRs play on TGC2, it's like this game and the Tour Club swing was made for them. I think a large part of the problem is people don't enjoy struggling. Real golf is a b%&! thank god im only strugglin once a week  |

I have used my three wood with tour clubs with 70 rounds more than I used it in a 1000 rounds of tgc1.
Course management did not exist in tgc1. Never cared about hazards for the most part. Even with playing with no aids for the last two years.

Been eating steak with a spoon since 😖 |

I just played Merion East. I think this was an import from TGC 1 and damn there are several places where it is downright evil. Probably most evil at the greens where every hole seems to have some phantom break/no break in it. With the way the ball bounces in the fairways gotta play this course much differently in TGC 1 where you could take a driver on about every hole and not worry about things like going through the fairway. I hadn't played so many 3 and 5 woods from the tee on any other course than I have here.
In a completely other note, I'm glad we are taking another week or so as it looks like the API is not working properly 100% of the time.
In the PGA tournament this week, there are people who have rounds missing. As an example Randy Burger has his first and third round shown on the leaderboard but not the second, even though it shows up in the Scorecard screen. Not sure why some people's rounds aren't showing up properly if at all.

Couldn't have said it any better.
I don't give a sh%$ about all this club set discussion, but I lost quiet some interest in this game just because of the way the Societies work actually. They do exactly the opposite of what they are supposed to do, and this makes me wanna hit something!

The debate will always be there because there are options. If there were no options on what clubs we could use everyone would adapt or move on. I must say once you get the feel for Tour clubs...the game comes alive. I believe that is what HB was aiming for by making them so hard to hit. Achieve that level..and it's an entirely different game. Difficult I agree. But yesterday I discovered the G key - Execute in 5 identical swings. I give the shot and the ball isolates ... It gives anger, right ?? Is that another PC thing? You can just press the G key and get perfect swings. That would give me anger. |

Only thing I can think of that was different about the second round was that I quit after the first hole because I wasn't playing that great in the first round (I always start the second round just in case of that bug, and I usually play the first hole because I'd rather start out with a tee shot when I come back), I came back later and hit some awful practice swings and bailed out a second time, then came back later and started playing again, not sure if something I did caused the hiccup. |
