Well it's been a long road but we see the light at the end of the tunnel. To be honest, I don't even know where to start so I'm just going to start blurting out updates/changes and see where it goes! Keep in mind that there are some finer details that haven't been tested yet and will be closely watched during the week of Official Exhibition Events. Tweaks are still a possibility too!
Quick Note: We weren't able to code it so that new members (those with no tour cards) would have their scores pulled for the exhibition events - apologize but you'll have to wait until the first week of Q-School to get a card and join the fun officially on the site. Feel free to play the events in-game though!
Big Ticket Items
New Q-School system
This one will be tough to explain without having an example to show - but I'll do my best
Auto-Registration/Auto-Score Submission
All leaderboards will have a new section at the top for just your scores - all your completed rounds will be revealed during the next scheduled API scrape (none will be hidden). If you have any issues (scores missing) or the API has issues (connection issues during your round etc) there will be a Create Ticket link you can click to start a ticket with a member of the admin team. Use this section to self-verify the scores the API provided before they are fully revealed on Saturdays.
Please make sure your TGCT profile has the exact gamertag as your gamertag on the in-game leaderboards.

New Q-School system
This one will be tough to explain without having an example to show - but I'll do my best
- Q-School will now be run out of the TGCTours (CC-Pro) society
- All new members will register for an upcoming CC-Pro event which will become their Q-School event that week
- all CC-Pro members that play that week will be placed on a master leaderboard as placeholders for those playing Q-School
- all new members will play the event and be placed on that master leaderboard
- cutlines for the different tours will be placed on the master leaderboard and be based off the score where the CC-A exemption line sits for the official CC-A flight (percentage of that score)
- when the event is finalized on Sunday - all new members will receive a tour card based on where they finished on the master leaderboard
- members that just got their tour cards will be auto-registered in their new tour's upcoming event (see below)
- If you shoot well enough to earn a PGA or European Tour card - the tour you have selected under Preferred Tour in your profile (www.tgctours.com profile, not forum profile) will determine which tour card you receive
Step-by-step instructions will be provided - once I can see what they are
- all active players will be auto-registered for the following week after an event is finalized on Sunday
- inactive players that return to action will be auto-registered during the week up until Friday at 4am UTC
- if you are registered but do not play - it will show up as "Did Not Play" on your Season Stats (ie you do not need to withdraw from the event)
- if you played any rounds it will pull your scores automatically - there is no more playing partial rounds and quitting/not submitting if you shoot poorly
- be mindful of your tour's deadlines
- PGA/Euro/Web members must have R1 and R2 completed by Friday at 4am UTC
All leaderboards will have a new section at the top for just your scores - all your completed rounds will be revealed during the next scheduled API scrape (none will be hidden). If you have any issues (scores missing) or the API has issues (connection issues during your round etc) there will be a Create Ticket link you can click to start a ticket with a member of the admin team. Mandatory Tour Clubs for PGA/European Tours
- Tour clubs are mandatory on the PGA and European Tours
- All other club types (Tour, Player, Standard) are viable options for the Web.com Tour and Challenge Circuit
- Email commish@tgctours.com if you are a current PGA/Euro player that wants to drop to Web.com Tour to use Player Clubs - we'll review it and process asap
- 5 strikes will trigger mandatory demotion from your tour/flight
- Pro Tours (PGA, Euro, Web) will have a "Double Strike Line" at 145th position on the leaderboard
- everyone that plays at least 1 hole that finishes below the Double Strike Line will receive 2 strikes - this will be in place of max fields going forward
- 1 Demotion Strike for missing cut and finishing above Double Strike Line
- Demotion Strikes disabled for Special Events, Invite Only, Minor Events and Playoffs
- Finish above cutline (pro tours) or Clear Strikes line (Challenge Circuit) to clear strikes
- Demotion Strikes will be displayed on leaderboard (colour coded, hover over to display) as well as posted on your player profile page
- Currently the Challenge Circuit is also set to 5-strikes - may move it back to a 3-strike demotion if movement is too slow - Pro Tours will always remain at 5-strikes
