The blasting permits were secured to get the work to happen in the canyon part of the golf course. The 8th hole is a massive par 5 that goes around the canyon, but those who are brave enough can try for the green in 2 if they can calculate the yardage and wind on a 100ft drop! 8th Tee 8th Fairway 8th Green

Great looking course so far Eric, I'm excited to play once complete.
Now just employ more contractors to finish this course quickly so I can tee off lol.

Forgedale Springs GC Development Delays: Investors Teed Off
(AP) It all started with a glorious vision, a dream really. But a combination of environmental concerns, labor disputes, and financing woes have turned the Forgedale Springs GC project into a nightmare.
The project, managed by Nesbit International Golf Group, is more than six months behind schedule, driving costs into the stratosphere. Initially estimated at 14.8 million, construction costs have now exceeded 16.5 million -- with the course only half-built.
As a result, major financial backers Kessler Bank and Irving's Credit Union are facing mounting losses. Recent reports indicate that both have been in talks with Gekko & Co. to arrange a bail-out package.
Scott Doyley, CEO of TGC Tours, is a significant proponent of the project, and has voiced concerns about the future of the endeavor. "We'd hoped to add this to the current tour season, but that's not looking likely at this point. As a result, I'm fielding complaints from our tour members."
In March, the Green Party filed cease-work applications in the Arizona 9th circuit court, claiming that the project was generating massive amounts of greenhouse gases, specifically diesel particulates. Nesbit International, owned by golf course tycoon Eric Nesbit, has since won a reprieve, while the EPA seeks to verify the claims.
Just two weeks ago, the project was shut down completely for three days after members of local #24 of the Brotherhood of Dirt Diggers held a wildcat strike after wages were withheld when workers were found swinging 3 irons instead of picks. Union spokesman Kerry A. Pickett said "Hey, I ain't gonna say one way or another if anyone was off the job, but I'll bust your $%#ing nose if you suggesting that."
Work has since resumed on Forgedale Springs, with a completion date as yet unknown.

Yesterday locals voted on the matter, with supporters protesting with cheers such as "NO 69! NO 69!" However, Green Party members said yes to Issue 69. The reason? "We want to %&$# you over!" (President of the Green Party)

LOL, you guys crack me up!
Rumor has it that Eric Nesbit has registered for entirely too many community events to improve his playing ability as he chases the dream of reaching the Web Tour. This pursuit has left his design & construction company in limbo, and the foreman lacks enough direction from management that he is hesitant to move dirt.
Thankfully the demand from the fans has encouraged the crews to get back to work, even with incomplete blueprints for the back 9. Stay tuned!

Hey Eric, the course is looking good. One advice I'd give you, about the 8th tee... I'd make the tee boxes bigger. It's just my preference, but I think they look better Pablo, I have taken your suggestion into account and made them a bit bigger. I'm still going for the separate circular look, but they aren't so tight around the markers anymore. Thanks!

Complaints from the community seem to be helping, because Eric Nesbit gave verbal approval via phone for the construction crews to continue. The foreman is still upset that he isn't getting on-site direction from the owner, but obviously he's too busy galavanting around the country playing in TGC events. 9th Tee 9th Green
