I've noticed the real players in the game can suddenly take a massive skill drop as they get older. Was checking the AAA league leaders the other day and saw Edwin Encarnacion's name on the list. In the previous season he hit 40 something homers with 100+ RBI's in the majors. Now this season he's a 35 year old 74 rated minor leaguer with 10 HR's nearly half way through the AAA season.

Default All- Star settings for me, no slider changes. I also turn off all HUD settings (strike zone box, hot zones, etc) to add a little more realism and get rid of the distractive stuff between the pitcher and batter. Recently toggled off the pitch/swing feedback thing also. Overview of my settings: Hitting Interface > Zone Guess Pitch > Off Strike Zone > Off Hot Zones > Off Plate Coverage Indicator > Off Swing/Pitch Info > Off ShowTime Opportunities > Off Below is a video of a 3 game series vs Pittsburgh played in 10 minutes. You can see what my screen looks like with the above settings. Disclaimer - it isn't for everyone lol. Yes, I struck out with the bases loaded haha - too excited at that high fastball. But the other 2 HRs were great. #FlipTheBat

Think that dynamic hitting screw up your hitting, not gonna play it again. If I play All Star I hit most of the balls, seems so easy sometimes against AI. Lets see how it goes on HOF. I usually play HOF on most MLB the Show versions, with the realisme sliders from OSFM...TNK.

I started my RTTS using dynamic settings and then figured out where I was comfortable. My hitter is now set to all-star. I found HOF a bit too difficult, but I am finding all-star a bit easy.
My pitcher is set to HOF. This feels about right. When I miss location, I get hit hard. Sometimes, even if I throw the pitch I want, a major league hitter still takes me deep. Usually, though, if I am hitting spots and mixing pitches well, I keep the hitters down. I struggle a bit from the stretch, as the timing is a bit different and the tempo is much faster making it much more difficult.

Frustrating to lose a 15 inning game 7-6 after being down 5-0 in the 7th and tying the game again in extra innings.

For the first time in the history of the MLB franchise I've actually played a full game. Even played a couple games online but the lag was a bit much. Single player conquest isn't too bad though. 3 inning games are nice as well.

Single player conquest isn't too bad though. 3 inning games are nice as well. That lag is why I don't play a lot online. In a game where timing is everything, it is very unenjoyable when there is lag present.

Career HR #500.
Stayed with my usual strategy of taking the first two pitches no matter what to try to force a hitter's count. Got it to 2 balls, 1 strike and the pitcher served up the meatball of all meatballs. I freaking CRUSHED IT to dead center.
Now the grind to 600.

My pitcher finished my first half season in the majors with an unflattering 3-6 record, but posted a more-than-respectable 2.95 ERA in 15 starts.
As a reward, I was offered $2.1m per season for 4 years for a bullpen role on the big league club. Apparently, during the off-season, the Pirates made a trade for some additional rotation help.
I tried to reduce the number of contract years to 3 so I would be arbitration eligible after year 6, but the Buccos wouldn't oblige.
In spring training, the Pirates asked me to close some games for them, but I've told my agent I'm not happy with the role. I would rather be optioned to the minors where I could start and earn more training points (and use up a minor-league option). I am really hoping that they deal from their surplus of starters to acquire some hitters.

I have the opposite with my 1B. The team can generate runs but the pitching staff is horrid, especially out of the pen. One inning we're ahead 5-2 and the next inning we're losing 12-5 lol.

So I recently created a closer in RTTS. Decided to just max out velocity/break and put nothing into stamina for the obvious reasons. But of course, half way through AA and they want to try me out as a starter. Fantastic. First start my guy was gassed in the 4th inning lol. Squeaked out 5 innings to get my first W with 8 K's and 4 hits allowed. We'll see how this disaster goes.
UPDATE : After 2 starts, 2-0 with 18K's and 3 ER surprisingly they moved me back to closer role. Hallelujah!
