While I have enjoyed RTTS over the years... Diamond Dynasty online is my favorite part of the game now.. I am just a 500 team but I am having a blast.. Best baseball game ever created.. Without question..

In all the versions of this game I've bought over the years I've still never once played a full team game of any sort. It's always been at-bats only in RTTS. I suppose I should try something different someday but I just never feel like taking the time to struggle through learning the rest of the game.

I suppose I should try something different someday but I just never feel like taking the time to struggle through learning the rest of the game. That's my main play, RTTS bat only. I've played a little online from time to time but sometimes the lag gets brutal so it turns me off from it. Once in a while I'll play a franchise game. Still enjoy RTTS bat only the most though. Can get through a game in 3 minutes and onto the next. Looking forward to getting a pitcher going. I may do that before my batter retires. Hell, i may even do it today lol.

I very rarely play any sports game online, at least not one-on-one. If it's someone I know that's fine, but playing randoms seems to be the easiest way to find a jerk who does everything they can to drag the fun out of the game.

DD has been driving me nuts lately. A series of infuriating controller-throwing losses in a row has dropped my rank by over 120 in 2 days.

I'm actually have more fun running a closer through RTTS than a hitter... that and trying to win more than 2 in a row in BR.. lol

Created an RTTS starting pitcher. Drafted in the 6th round by Arizona. That means Triple A Reno Aces, our hometown team here in Reno. That will be fun.
But first, let's get out of Double A. Pitching well so far in first few games. The pitch repertoire is Fastball, Change up, Slider and Sweeping Curve. Not sure if I'll add a 5th pitch. Getting through the minors will be all about building up the Control, H/9 and HR/9 ratings.

My RTTS repertoire is 4-seam, Slurve and Circle Change because that most closely represents my RL stuff. Working on the 2-seamer, but right now I don't have good control of it.
Still, I'm getting by with three pitches pretty well with an ERA under 3.

I would love it if they had an online coop version of RTTS. Six or seven of us could enter the draft together and see who progresses at what pace. We wouldn't play against each other live but our seasons would progress at the same time. If one guy were holding up the advancement of a season, the commish could advance his season due to injury time or something. But for the most part, it would be played just like RTTS is now but with the ability to see your friends players in the league leaders and such.

I started an Arizona Diamondback franchise and try to keep up with the daily schedule. Not doing so great but I am on a 7 game winning streak with a record of 23-30 and currently sitting in 3 place in the N.L. West 10 1/2 games behind the division leading S.F. Giants. It's a blast though and I'm really enjoying The Show 17 this year.

Presently on a 26 game hitting streak. I have no doubt that i will not even sniff DiMaggio's 56 gamer simply bc the manager keeps deciding that I need to pinch hit on my rest day which only gives me one crack at extending the streak each time he does that to me. So far during this streak I've gone 2-2 with the pinch hits. Also, the pitchers are starting to walk me more. Not seeing many good pitches in the strike zone. We'll see how far along i can ride the wave..

I try to play DD, but since I'm new to MLB, my control of the baserunners and fielding is really bad. I'm a decent hitter (assume it's All Star level when playing online?) Any tips for base running and fielding? (Which mode do you like best?)

I try to play DD, but since I'm new to MLB, my control of the baserunners and fielding is really bad. I'm a decent hitter (assume it's All Star level when playing online?) Any tips for base running and fielding? (Which mode do you like best?) I'm mostly an RTTS player. Bat only, i toggled off fielding and base running because I can get games done quickly. I can get through a 3 game series in about 10 minutes. I think a default online game is on All-Star but if you go into the game lobby rooms you can find any level. When I do play an online game it is All-Star with Guess Pitch turned off. Update on my hitting streak. DiMaggio's record is safe as it ended at 27. But I'm 23 HRs away from career # 500. I should be getting that within the next couple of days. I'll post the video like I did with # 400. Still haven't been able to get that cheater Barry Bonds out of the record book for HRs in a season. The most I've gotten is 63 to this point. I can only hope I get it before my guy retires. I have no idea how long they play for but reading in their forums, one person said, "In past versions your skills diminish at a rapid rate to the point where I've always retired around the age of 42 or 43. There was always a cut scene showing your HOF plaque or something similar". Someone else said the game will force retirement at age 45. My dude is 34 right now (started his career in MLB 15 and have never simmed a game). I guess I have til around age 39-40 before things start falling apart with him. Another 5 years or so to knock that cheating bastard out of the record books and try to get another World Series ring or more. Sadly, I only have one ring so far
