Im a great fan of baseball...more then golf...lol, this game looks amazing like ussual.
Thinking of buying it...the story mode in RTTS looks great.
Also franchise have now player/position lock, great addition to this beautifull game.
Who's gonna buy it?

I always debate buying a new one as it's a great series but I'm only a casual baseball fan at best. Still pop in MLB 14 every now and then. Sadly the inclusion of Ken Griffey Jr is the main thing that's tempting me. Maybe I'll wait until it goes on sale for $30-40 and then buy.

I've bought every season of The Show since its first year. Love the game.
Continuing my RTTS player that I initially created in The Show 15. Presently in Year 2023. I do not sim any games but I also do not play defense or run the bases. Batting only. Once his career is over and he reaches the Hall of Fame (and he will), I'll do a pitcher career in RTTS.
Settings for me are All-Star with the following batter settings:
Swing = Zone
Strike Zone Indicator = Off
Hot Zone Indicator = Off
Guess Pitch = Off
Appears my career teams are off in the stats though, this happened last year as well. I was drafted by the Nats and then signed with my Phillies. In my 9th year, my dude is jacked as far as ratings go but i play with realistic settings (as i see it, listed above). Here are some career stats:
.315 Batting Average
776 Runs Scored
1,441 Hits
311 HRs
857 RBIs
Looking forward to see what the game does, if anything, when his career is over - i also want to see if he retires on his own.

Downloading it as we speak. We bought a PS4 last year and I bought The Show 16 and loved it. This years game looks even more amazing with the improved graphics and improved game physics. Also there is suppose to be over 1500 new lines of commentary with Harold Reynolds and Dan Plesac as the new announcers. Should be really good this year and IMO well worth purchasing. I'll be playing this game tonight when I get off work....can't wait!!!

I was so disappointed by 16 that I didn't pre-order for the first time since I had a PS3 or PS4. I'll be waiting a good long time on this one.

I was so disappointed by 16 that I didn't pre-order for the first time since I had a PS3 or PS4. I'll be waiting a good long time on this one. Not sure what there was to be disappointed about. This year's game is awesome as expected. |

I'll be playing this game tonight when I get off work....can't wait!!! I've never been an announcer person. I usually shut them down after about 2 or 3 games. The only exception is the NHL game. Otherwise, they get silenced pretty quick. Madden, The Show, NBA, Golf Club.... the repetition drives me insane. But with that said, MLB 17 as far as gameplay goes, stellar. Still the best sports game franchise ever. |
