So my -16 should safe for the cut :-) Should have been -10 in both rounds, missed 4 putts inside 5 feet (ugh)... This is a course you have to manage (which I love).. I think I hit irons off the tee on all the short par 3s.. Still leaves a fairly easy shot in. No reason to go for broke here. -Tim Hitting Irons on the short par 3s ? Your a crazy mother Canucker

Shot a -9 for my 1st round. Left a few makeable putts out there which was frustrating but overall I'm content. Haven't practiced the pin locations for RD 2 yet but I'll get to it sometime. As long as there aren't hurricane force winds in RD 2 I should be okay with making the cut. Love the course Ola! It definitely can be challenging at times with the wind but fair if you play smart and conservatively. I also liked that some of the greens were smaller and really made you concentrate on your approach shots. It rewarded great shots and punished poor ones. Well done! Have fun everyone!

So moron boy (that's me for those keeping score) got an exemption to the Pro tours... But forgot had already registered for this one and will use exemption next week!!! So I played my four rounds
Started off well.. with a -7... Then carded a -4 for round two.. then I slipped and slid, and chunked my way around it for a +1 on round three then finished that debacle up with a -1 on the last round...
LOVED the course though.. Man what a challenge..... Had a blast...

My poor run continues with yet another missed cut. Having shot a mediocre (but probably just about on par) 65 for the first round, I felt that my run of recent results (missed cut for the last three weeks) would come to an end with a solid round two. Sadly, a bogey on the first dented my confidence. Fortunately I birdied the second so no harm was done.
However, I then 'Elsed' the 3rd green and couldn't get the 'kin thing in the hole. I think it ended at 5 putts but by that time I was so angry that I no longer cared. Bogeys followed at 4, 5 and 7 to put me 7 over and out of it for certain. Despite another bogey on 14 I still managed to claw back to a +2 74 but yet again a disasterous week.
I'm away to sulk!

Round 2 seems to be killing a lot of the field.

Round 2 seems to be killing a lot of the field. Which is what is giving me faint hope at -8. Still think I'm a couple of shots short though.

Curse you mrooola with your elevation changes, tree lined everything, difficult to read greens and tempting riskyness of a truly great golf course. What a track Ola! I've just opened up with probably my best round on the tour for some time. Unfortunately the score doesn't match my play. Tee shots were generally accurate, approach play was great. As usual putting let me down. I probably missed 6 or 7 changes from within 12 feet. The real undoing of my round though was the 8th hole. 293 yard par 4. I wasn't crazy here, I didn't go for the green. I played safe but still managed to find the rough. Still though the lie was okay and the green was close. I hit the shot too well and it bounded over the green and into the water. All I had my mind on when I played the shot was the water BEFORE the green. I ended up with a double bogey. Without that a -7 would have been a good start to my week but -5 puts me on the brink of another cut. If I play as well as that round I should be okay but this is me we're talking about and 2 good rounds are very rarely seen together.

Who said I can't play 2 good round in a row??? Come on who was it? Oh yes, it was me! The start of round 2 was similar to the first. This time though putts were left short. No excuses. I took the harder chances but missed easier ones. I was far too timid with the putter. Still though I continued on, playing well up until the greens. -5 after 13 was respectable and I had a shot of making the cut. Then my soon to be competitor in the Ryder cup c6vette2010 decided to contact me on the course!! Surely a tactic to put me off my good form so he could take victory in the singles. Well Bill, it didn't work. I birdied the next 4 holes including being inches away from an ace on the 17th. I finished with a -9 and -14 after 2 rounds. I must be safe! I'm coming for you tomorrow Bill!
