Missed cut 3 out of last 4 back to the drawing board . To add insult to injury spent 3 hours designing last night and PlayStation crashed . Oh how this game can just hate you sometimes That's like me a few weeks ago. The missed cuts were starting to push me in the direction of retiring for a while. Stuck with it though and now getting scores again. Not winning scores or low round records, but half decent. Quick question regarding the Playstation Moe Slorkman, by any chance does this game cause the fans on your PS4 to some if not a lot of the time be working extra hard to keep temperature down? I've noticed it particularly with this game, and a couple of times since release with Hitman as well but all others don't.

Bethpage the console was hovering above the desk the fans were spinning that hard. I had done a massive amount of planting and was just checking it over when it crashed last night. Lession learned save after every hole from now on.

Round four in the books, now back in the clubhouse sipping a well earned pint. Had one of those 'nearly' rounds - a few lip outs and a couple of flags hit from distance but not dropping. I did manage to birdie the last two to get level with Hootbleet so I'm happy with that. Another great round from you by the way, along with my other playing partner Mr Solberg - great shooting both! Hopeful of remaining in the top ten and delighted with that for a week's work On to Pinehurst!

I followed Julian's ghost, thinking he was a pga/euro player the way he was knocking putts in from far and wide. I personally think we're both in with a chance of nabbing the last exemption spots. You may have to visit the big league courses

You may have to visit the big league courses I think we're maybe 50/50 for an exemption, there will be quite a few lower scores than mine in round four. To be fair I wouldn't use it. I've only just got to the Web and I kind of like it here! I do aim to get to the Euro eventually but I don't think I'm nearly ready for it yet. Round three was the best I've ever played on firm and fast but I've got to do that more consistently before i would consider trying to move up. Good luck if you make it though, I'll be watching with interest

Giraffe72 usually id give out about lads reneging using exemptions but at this stage using exemptions has gone out of fashion on Web, hardly anyone uses them any more that's why we are clearing 150 players a week might even reach 160 next week by the end of the season will probably have 200 webbers playing in the finals . Personally I don't see the point in not using one (never had one missed 5 by a shot). Also personally I think up to week 40 they should be mandatory but that's another discussion.

Yeah I tend to save every few minutes when working on a hole. Even if I only put in a couple of bunkers or trees I still do....just to be safe. One course, which I scrapped, I had done quite a bit on it. Then saw the time and had to go out....what did I go and do? Only hit the PS button and then closed the game. As soon as I hit close I realised what I had done. Think thats why I scrapped that one, couldn't be bother doing all the work again.

Well hopefully the decision will be taken out of my hands then and I'll be just short. From my point of view, I was playing at Spirit Mountain in CC-E in February, if I hadn't been lucky enough to win in a small field because of the Matchplay in CC-A I wouldn't now even be in the Web, because I was miles from the cut line at Manotick. I have very little and mostly bad experience of playing on firm and fast courses which seem to be the norm in the top tiers. I'd get eaten alive! I do hope to get there some time in the fairly near future but I'd like to settle in and learn a bit more in the Web first. Sorry!

Before it gets misconstrued as an attack as that seems to be the norm with my posts haha. It was just a generalisation of the way web has gone and I'm not having a go it's nearly the end of season and everyone will end up were they should come season 3 (I hope). It's the blatant Sandbaggers that grind my gears especially early season. Ratna, Brad "straight" putt , Steve "I can't beleave he's not Ratna " Williams Keeley Breckensomething to name a few that just wouldn't leave till Doyley and the heavys in some cases had to physically lift them out of Web haha. Hopefully season 3 won't see this happen . And obviously with your rise I'm by no means putting you in that bracket. Just been General

HOT OFF THE PRESS
Dave Wilks arrested for breaking Press reporters jaw.
As he was taken to hospital, the reporter was heard mumbling "I only asked him if he played well in rounds 3 & 4". From the window of the police car, Wilks was seen to mouth expletives that couldn't be repeated here.
I talked to his caddy who said "he shot -3 for both rounds, but he'd been practicing hard & expected to be in the top 30. He did say something about that Moe Slorkman ordering gale force winds, but I think he's just upset with his play".

Giraffe72, we're hanging onto the final exemption spot mate. Got to give the big leagues a shot. Looking at their leaderboards this week, there's only 1 person up on exemption from last week

We might not hang on yet though, there a few a dozen or so shots back who still have two rounds to play.

I'm not counting any chickens yet, it's going to take 2 or 3 of them to play very well to dis-lodge us. If it happens, it happens, either way I'm happy with this weeks performance

Thanks to the designer of this for making Sat & Sunday max firm with max speed, just screams intelligent golf course design. Just another entirely forgettable course to add to the ever growing list. And please, on your next design, cluster more par 5's together....the sameish feeling is something I particularly enjoy when shelling out green fees. I just love when a course rewards missing greens and chipping in, and with the tucked pins and massive fringe it's in spades here. #play4chip Oh and the invisible breaks are wonderful.

Have to disagree with that. This course played well firm, there was plenty of room to land the ball on the green and run it at the pin. Maybe a couple of holes in round 4 you had to try and land it short but that was it. As for hidden breaks, no such thing. I don't trust the green beads on any course but that's a TGC thing not the fault of the designer. If you have a proper look around the putt you can see the breaks (or lack of) that the green beads aren't showing you.
