I just been told I am DQ's even though I entered the proper total just switched 3rd & 4th rounds around. I do not agree with this rule it is not fair NOT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO CHEAT I put the exact total score I ended up with. I understand having this rule for people who might try and cheat but I am not a CHEATER and to top it off I would have qualified for the MASTERS.
The only way I will accept the DQ is if I still get to play in the MASTERS!!
THIS IS BS!

From Info, Rules & Policies:
"Incorrect Score Submissions
If you submit your score incorrectly, your submitted score will stand if the total strokes is higher than the game shows. If your submitted score is lower than the total strokes shown by the game, you will be disqualified from the tournament.
As an example, if you shot a 70 but submitted your scorecard as 72, we will count your round as a 72. If you shot a 70 but submitted your scorecards as 68, you will be disqualified from the tournament."

Those are the rules. Don't sign an incorrect score.
One of the things that makes golf great. You are responsible and accountable for your own score. As far from BS as you can get IMO.

While on the subject of ridiculous. How hard can it really be to enter ones scores correctly? I wonder what would happen if a player did exactly this in a real life tour event. I'm guessing a DQ, but that's just me.

I believe this is the reason for the signature part of the submission form. If you submitted it without then perhaps it could be considered a slip, otherwise why sign something you haven't checked? Sucks though if it causes you to miss The Masters, but it's a ruling in line with real life, I've seen it happen to pro's and it hurts for sure

You either didn't know the rule - fail You choose to not think the rule was important - fail You failed to pay attention when entering your scores - fail
Either way, you only have yourself to blame. There is NO excuse for not knowing the rule, and if you did there is NO excuse for not being careful when entering scores.
If you didn't come in all guns blazing you would get a bit of sympathy but with your THIS IS BS attitude you can stuff any sympathy!

It's cute how he thinks he has a choice in accepting the DQ, based upon a long established rule, in a competition run by others in their own time for no monetary benefit but for the enjoyment of the vast majority of those who play there, which comes at no monetary cost to himself !
Although, HE DID USE CAPS, that helps back up his position right ?

It does seem a bit harsh but rules are rules. Learn from it and take more care next time. After all,it's nobody's fault but your own.
One thing though - calm down the attitude problem. It will never help your case with anyone.

IRL it's fine to enter the wrong score and then change it seventeen times, as long as you haven't signed for it. Once you sign, that's it.

Fair enough. So since we are playing a video game that doesn't matter, why are you bent out of shape about an incorrect score submission and DQ? A little one-sighted, are we?

Here's a reason why... there are at least one thousand rounds submitted per week. If players aren't responsible for entering scores correctly and admins must always be on standby to correct them, it becomes an unsustainable chore. It's an established rule and you are far from the first to make the mistake, or the first to make a post complaining about it. Others have moved on and learned from their mistake, and I have the utmost confidence that you will, as well.
