It's already been covered in the thread though that he would not have gotten into The Masters even if he had posted his scores correctly. He never missed out on anything.

Happened to me when I first started out. I emailed commish and said there was nothing that he could do. Was I a little miffed, absolutely. But I've never done it since then. Life lessons my friend

Guilty of this myself just this past week while being up on excemption in C.
Wasn't feeling the best but decided to play my four rounds in one sitting, as the night went on, the worse I felt but because I had started, I decided to finish. I felt that bad at the end that I just headed off to bed. I remembered the next day that I had yet to enter in my scores while I was in work so went on to do so.
Received an email late last night to say I had been DQ'd. I emailed back to apologise as I was sure I had the right total and it turns out that I've entered in rounds 2/3 the wrong way. It sucks. Only myself to blame and as in proper golf, I've signed for the wrong scorecard not only once but twice.
It's a hard way of learning but I'll not make the same mistake again.

Dustin Johnson lost a major on less. If you can say "I meant", then you can put any number in for any round. I honestly believe it was not intentional, but no way a rule can judge intent. Rules are rules.
