Wish I had a dollar for every time I hover my finger over the enter button to enter my rounds score. Then stop, say do my myself, wait a minute, was that right? Look at the scrap of paper with my scribbles on it. Wait, did I write that down correctly. Fire up the game, log in and check the screenshot I saved. yes, it was right. Hit enter and laugh my ass off at both my senility and addiction to this crazy game. Love it, wouldn't have it any other way. Hey wait, imbedded in my rant here are a couple of ways to stop the dreaded DQ. Maybe a teachable moment from an old fart?? .

I play with my laptop open on submit score screen next to me. finish round, look at scorecard, enter. Fairly simple really!

you shouldn't have any mistakes make your self some 18 hole score sheets write down what you make every hole and the end add it all up to match your game score. if not on x-box its the y button to check your score after every hole.

It really does stink when this happens, but personally I've done this twice, both times miscalculating the score after remembering how many under par I was but not realizing the par was 70 and 71. As far as real life goes, Roberto De Vicenzo finished the 72nd hole tied for the lead The 1968 Masters and then was DQ'd after signing an incorrect scorecard. I bet he wishes it was just a video game! I love the signing of the card. It adds reality and responsibly to our events.

I just been told I am DQ's even though I entered the proper total just switched 3rd & 4th rounds around. I do not agree with this rule it is not fair NOT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO CHEAT I put the exact total score I ended up with. I understand having this rule for people who might try and cheat but I am not a CHEATER and to top it off I would have qualified for the MASTERS. The only way I will accept the DQ is if I still get to play in the MASTERS!! THIS IS BS! What the hell is wrong with you? That's right. I didn't stutter. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? Hitch up your testicle sack (unless you're a girl....then you have cooties) and give them the bird. You're a man, and a man wears his DQs like a badge of honor. I once made a mistake and almost burnt my parent's house down to the ground....WITH THEM IN IT! What did I do? I laughed it off. "Mistakes happen," I told the judge. "And they'll happen again." When Carrie White was DQ'd at the high school prom, did she whine? Did she cry? Did she complain? No! She took control of the situation....and destroyed the entire high school gym! She rectified the situation. America was proud of Carrie White, and America wants to be proud of you! As of today, the whiny-baby act is over. I want you to tell everyone to go to hell and to kiss your ass, and then you register for the next tournament event and win it. And if you don't win it, be a man and drink yourself into a stupor. Also, as of today, I want you to change your TGC Tour screen name from piekosp to I Love DQs. Melissa Click Former TGC Tour Member Complained about being DQ'd once Is currently unemployed and excels at looking stupid

Having to sign your card correctly whatever your view on it is just part of tournament golf, it's part of the round is to fill in your card properly. Gutted for you missing the masters though mate hopefully it makes you a better player, show everyone how tough you are by coming back and doing well.
Imagine how di vicenzo felt then back in the 60's, he signed for his card one shot higher this cost him a playoff to win the masters (signing higher scores isn't a dq u just take that score) this was real life and he blamed no one but himself however silly the rule

It's one of the most common rules of golf. I got dq'd earlier in the year and had no one else to blame but myself. Havnt made the same mistake again so hopefully you can learn from it so you never do it again either.

I know it was my fault so now I will learn my lesson. Sucks to miss the Masters after TOTALLY kicking ass on the course by 12 shots over the next closest guy. I wish I was still able to get an exemption somehow into it because I actually did earn it.

Glad you're going to suck it up, learn & move on. As you will have noted there are quite a few here (including myself) who stuffed up, been DQ'd & been much much more careful since. Re the exemption, if it's any consolation, I don't think you would have got one anyway. If I recall, you were going to be 2nd in CC-Z with the winner on -4. Under the rules the winner & the best score from that division (no matter if they were playing up a level on exemption) got the exemption, if it was the same person only one exemption would be given out. This was the case for CC-Z (& E). The winner only received an exemption & it was, & would have been anyway, Joel Odenbach rather than yourself. Link below tgctours.proboards.com/thread/7021/masters-tournament-qualifying?page=6&scrollTo=110115See you on the links as you rise up the ranks, shooting par or thereabouts last week means you'll be out of Z quickly.

I wish I was still able to get an exemption somehow into it because I actually did earn it. Again, you would not have got in with clean scores. The winner (the guy above you) and the best exempted player on CC-E (assuming they beat the winner of CC-Z) would have gotten in. That wasn't the case so only the winner of CC-Z got in. You were 3 shots away from getting in - never were in it regardless of DQ or not.

Nevertheless, you can still play the tour in-game and see how you stack up against the best players in the game. That's what I'll be doing. I didn't qualify for the Masters TGCT event, but I'll play the tour in-game just for fun.
Then I'll go about missing the cut on the Euro minor event again like I did this past week.

Hence I dont think I should be DQ'd for being honest and admitting the mistake And asking for them to correct it. The SCORECARDS should be the end all I would have qualified for the MASTERS to. I should still get to play in it that is why I am so PISSED! Sorry mate but this would happen in real life too. Soon as you sign the scorecard and press enter its just like signing your card and putting it into the competition box. I've seen it happen on amateur club competition level. Having playing partners write the wrong score. Not the players fault but their responsibility to check and sign that the card is correct. You will get a DQ for incorrectly signing. Let's just be thankful we don't need to submit every hole by hole score. It's a harsh lesson with you missing out on The Masters but this rule applies for good reason and if they changed yours, others would expect the same etc etc then there's no point in the rule.
