Well said curt, although I didn't agree with the qualification tournament as a whole as I said in my first post, it's not about competing for the guys that get there and this cheat getting removed is great for the chasing pack in CC-E doing it the right way. Epic profile pic by the way, gotta love Bricktop If Brick Top was running this tour there'd be no cheating because he'd feed you to the pigs if you did... or at the very least cut your jacobs off. Although on the flip side all tournaments would be fixed and players forced to throw rounds but you can't have everything.

I may sound exaggerated right now but I'm all in for the "Nazi treatment" in whatever cheating case Once a cheater always a cheater, that's what I believe - there is no mistake in sandbagging/straight shooting/creating multiple accounts..ecc...ecc...it's 100% planned. So in videogames I strongly believe in the presumption of guilt formula: if you fudge up either you prove beyond reasonable doubt (screens, video, streaming...there's plenty) that you are not a cheater or at least that you are in super-good faith, or you're out. For good. I mean it's not like without TGCT one cannot survive right? Or TGCT itself loses anything by kicking a couple of lads. But that's only me, and maybe it's for the better that I'm not in charge There we go, Godwin's Law have been fulfilled! Seriously though, hard call for what to do for best, but maybe a couple of weeks in the penalty box would be appropriate IF Doyley is 100% happy that the player was being dishonest.

But that's only me, and maybe it's for the better that I'm not in charge Well thankfully you are not in charge then, at least in my case. I was playing the game a long time ago on PC, when it was first in early access, I played for quite sometime, I never really played with any friends just against 'ghost balls'. I came back to the game not long ago and I was playing with online friends from a football forum. We were all having a great time and we spoke a lot on the football forum about the game. Now these guys kept saying how much they were slicing and hooking, I never really had that problem, I left it for a week or so but the guys kept mentioning it. I then decided to watch some YouTube clips and again I was noticing how ever slight people were having hooks and slices, it really bothered me and in truth worried me. I decided to get in touch with Doyley and asked him to check my shots as something just did not seem right. It turns out my shots were under investigation as I was hitting too true. It turns out the controller I used had some sort of extended dead zone which gave me an advantage, I was gutted! That controller was just something I bought to play racing games and just grabbed it to play this game. I bought 'The Golf Club' the next day for my PS4 so I knew I was playing true, since making the swap I haven't noticed any drop in my game thankfully. I just thought I would share that when I didn't have to just to show that there can be a mistake in cheating. I was maybe ignorant and stupid but I was not a knowing cheater. Maybe something to think about.

Yeah things like that can happen and at least you done the right thing mate and went to Doyley as you were worried and didn't know, so not your fault The real problem Is I have seen 2 convicted straight shooters get suspended then dumped into web after. When they are wayyyy too good for Web, Now They both have lovely trophies in their portfolio for being cheat,1 has 2 ffs that I think should be stripped from them and given to the people in Web who came second to these cheats. Where is the justice there?and if I came second to them I would be livid. Think this is what Andrea means if he was in charge he'd be stricter ;-) I know I would haha

Or maybe you should've read my post better You came out, you've contacted the admins and you've proven yourself to be in good faith - that'd be sufficient in my hypothetical example to clear you. Unfortunately there are also players not willing to step up like you did - on the opposite they took the advantage, they were "punished" and now they're hovering in the TOP 20 spots of Euro/PGA without flinching....

It was the part where you said it was always 100% planned, I was just showing that at times that's not the case. It's all good though.

Straight shooting can happen like in your case (albeit very very peculiar) accidentaly. However for sanbagging Q-School and playing the same tourneys with multiple accounts I don't believe that's the case

Here's the full story The member played the wrong event in-game. That event had handicap scoring on. His handicap was very high at the time - he actually shot around +9 for the round. With handicap it was 16-under. I've put him back into CC-E and he will replay the proper event. Again, this is why we can not always jump to conclusions and grab pitchforks. He was not a sandbagger just learning the ropes of TGCT. Please welcome him back into the community if he decides to join the forums. Thanks!

Thanks for the report Scott. We will certainly welcome him to the forum should he join us. Now, where's my Web card for being an all around nice guy? LOL.

Not that I want to get this pot stirred again, but take a look at Daniel in C Class for Magnolia. His score would be leading the tier A players. If you look at his history from E Class up to C, he was clearly placed incorrectly. This is very obvious.
So, what happened?
Well, there are 3 explanations.
1) He didn't care about Q School and just blew it off. Didn't like the courses. Didn't like the number of rounds. Got bored with it. Whatever. He just didn't care. I'm not saying he sandbagged purposely to get ranked lower so he could win every event on his way up to PGA which is where this guy will eventually be, but he just didn't care about Q School for whatever reason.
2) He really was that bad and then worked on this game to get better. Now, this is quite possible if you look at his first week at Hiwassee. He shot 25 over. Now that's pretty bad. Then, his next week at the Vietnam Open, he shot 27 under and finished 2nd. Could he have improved his game that much in one week? I guess it's possible. But it's obvious he didn't come into TGC and tear things up right away. It took him a week of practice. Hey, some people can pick this game up very fast. Maybe he was one of them.
3) He sandbagged Q School on purpose.
I'm going to go with 2 and give him the benefit of the doubt because of his week 1 performance, which was abysmal. Heck, I shot 10 under at Hiwassee and I stink. And my taking so long to get better at this game has probably got a lot to do with my age and pure laziness. Yeah, I'll do the math. But I draw the line and figuring out every click up or down on the club for every wind speed and direction and green elevation. That fanatical I refuse to get. And that's why I'm only going to get so far with this game. But for those who take the time to figure out all the ins and outs, like Ian Sweeney has obviously done, can turn this into a very easy game.
I'll be watching Daniel's climb up the ladder. I hope he makes it to the PGA. He'll definitely make it to Web. That's already in the bag.

I kinda feel like a big doosh now. Sorry to that guy if he reads these forums. Lesson learned. I wouldn't call it being dooshy...it was fishy and it was called out and sorted out. Turns out it was an honest error...so be it. I'm quite certain there have been times where it wasn't an honest mistake. I apologize for nothing...It was fishy..it was called out...turns out it was the wrong opinion..oh well...lesson learned..my bad. I won't apologize for thinking something wasn't right because in actuality it wasn't right. If that makes me a doosh...so be it
