Anyone else confused on why the top 2 from each tier will make the Masters? I understand the point is to keep everyone involved and give everyone a chance, even the lower tiers. However, I think it would be a better idea to pool every CC player and take the top 12 (or less) based on purely their scores. I have played the max firm Masters and it is 100% more difficult than this weeks tourney. For example, I just do not think it is fair that a guy hypothetically in CC-C can shoot -30, but place 3rd and miss the Masters, all while in CC-B the winner is at -29 and qualifies.
Further, I get the excitement for the CC-Z guys, but I think they will not have fun after the first hole of the max firm course unless someone seriously sandbagged it just to qualify. It is just going to lead to possible ridiculous scores and frustration.
It may be just me, I just think the best 12 out of everyone should go.
*Note: I have played my rounds and I will not be making the Masters, based on my score, regardless of my opinion*

So according to your way, half the field would be from A and we'd essentially be telling everybody from D down, "Sorry, we don't want you in this one."
You're certainly entitled to your opinion but I'm glad that it's not the way it's being run.
And FTR, I am no where near contention for being in it.

I 100% agree with wags here Even in real life, The Masters for amateurs is more like a taste of the event instead of a tournament where to actually compete

As a former CC-A player I get what the OP is saying here and it does make sense as there is very little between the tiers skill wise. However I don't agree at all with having a qualifying tournament for the Masters as it's not done in real life and to have it on Magnolia itself cheapens the experience of the real thing a bit. Don't get me wrong I get that Doyley was trying to include amateurs like the real tournament does but this should have been limited to winners of the various matchplay tournaments for the lower tiers or limit it to just the lads from CCZ as that is the lowest level of the game and would truly reflect amateurs. Also we have a midway leader in CC-E on -26 and that is the best score from all of the tiers combined and is currently 16 shots clear of the field in CC-E, all this in his first event. So he went from bombing QSchool to blitzing one of the hardest courses in the game and will be going to Magnolia for sure while the Web players and top tier players outside the automatic spots are excluded. Just my opinion here by the way but I'd limit it to CCZ only.

Great...just what TGCTours needs...another sandbagger +104 at Q-school to -24 after 2 at Magnolia...wow...impressive...that's one hell of a turn around in a week shot a 56 at Magnolia but couldn't hit a shot a Q-school www.tgctours.com/Tournament/QSchoolLeaderBoard/284?Grid-sort=&Grid-page=4&Grid-pageSize=100&Grid-group=&Grid-filter=

Can't wait for the next Weekly Report on the matter by Jason tough Ladies and gentleman of low-CC tiers meet your next (likely) exemption killer

I call a spade a spade No submitted scorecard leads me to believe he just inputted the scores without playing. I'm sure it'll get sorted out before the end. I'm to far back to even make it to -8 this week, so it doesn't really matter to me anyway.

Jim. shhhhh. Don't rock the boat man. Last time I said the "S" word around here I had my head handed to me because that sort of thing just doesn't happen according to the powers that be. So ix nay. I call a spade a spade I know man. I'm actually being very tongue in cheek about this. I called this out when I first got here as being so obvious and was read the riot act. I did not make a lot of friends that day. In fact, if you remember, it was the day I said I wouldn't post here anymore. Things got very ugly. Unfortunately, there are cheaters in all walks of life. We can acknowledge this, do what we can to deal with it, or we can bury our heads in the sand and insist that it doesn't exist. Personally, I just don't care about it anymore. Like I said above, eventually this person will be out of all our hairs and in the PGA and we won't have to deal with him anymore. Unfortunately, on the way up, he's going to skew a lot of scores and deprive a lot of people of their "earned" victories, exemptions and what not. But it is what it is.

Just played two holes of the PC tournament and didn't see his PC name, and I played the first two rounds on PS4 earlier today for practice and didn't see his PS4 name get to -26 after two.

This may sound bad but I think they should put a cap on qschool. It is meant to be a qualifying school after all and what I mean is if somebody shoots a certain criteria of over par they should be sent an email saying ''unfortunately your score wasn't good enough to qualify this month, please try next month'' or something similar Maybe I'm being bad but IRL if your not good enough well tough luck keep practicing till you are.
I think it would stop the sandbagging to some extent anyway. Anyway just my opinion Hope I don't offend anyone :-)

They'll just shoot whatever score they need to shoot in order to make E Class. So big deal, we keep them from the tour for a month. So what? Cheaters will find a way to game the system. They always do.
