Well I got a 64 and a 62 in before the fiance called me for some Thanksgiving dinner. Feeling pretty good about that. I was never going to catch Jared's score, but starting off with a -14 through 2 rounds should give me a good foundation to push for Top 25, or maybe even top 10!

haha - well we can sit next to each other around the 50th spot, grab a beer, and talk about what might have been! I'm guessing at 50th place. Not sure what the studs on this tour will end up doing on this course. I hope you're wrong about -26 being 50th place because that will probably mean I don't even make the cut! Improving my putting on fast sloping surfaces is my number one goal this year on web.com. Complete guess on my part. I've always been a middle-of-the-pack player. I felt good about my rounds but I figured the best CC players are flooding in and the Web players here are already very good. There's too much of my game that is just guessing and feel to really be a consistent presence on the leader board. You mentioned putting on fast slopes, which I need to work on as well. I also struggle with 13-15 yards chips/pitches/flops or the slight slope elevations. Going to be a big learning experience here if the courses are like Ballyntine each week.

Not every course will be as difficult as Ballyntyne National. Red October GC, the week 2 course, is considerably easier. I wouldn't be surprised if the round 2 cut-off for the second week course is at least 10 strokes less than that of Ballyntyne National.

Pressure will be on to make some birdies then! What system do you play on Canthitstraight? I thought I saw you mention XB1 at some point but I don't see you on the in-game leader board?

Anyone that's feeling a bit deflated after this very difficult course, go play the courses for CC, Euro, and even PGA. None of them to compare to Ballyntyne National this first week.

I've played the CC course and the PGA course in official play. Played the Web course once and the Euro course once. I would say that the Web has the toughest scoring a.k.a. the hardest course.

Anyone had confirmation they are actually in the Webb now?? If I try to register for next weeks tourney it says I don't have a tour card for it. That was a tough first outing anyway, started with a double bogey on the very first hole!! Be very interested to say where the cut/top ten will be this week, even a hole in 1 didn't really make up for my general poor play, not knocking the course tho, easy or hard/like it or don't like it you just have to get your scores in and move on,can't please everyone.

Hello all. Practiced a few rounds for the CC-A tournament only to realise I had earned web.com tour card in the challenge tournament. I look forward to playing against you all. I started in April on the web.com tour and got demoted to CC-A when they reorganised the tours. I therefore know how tough it is to get within the cut, so I better shoot a few practice rounds for this one before I start the tournament.

You should see the tour listed next to your name when signed onto the web page. Mine says web now and I can register for next weeks tournament too. It looks like something is wrong.

I didn't get a notice either but the system here shows me listed in the players section for Web Tour. I was able to submit scores too.
Sounds like they are still getting everything together. Probably a lot more work than we all realize. It will sort itself out soon I'm sure.
Leaderboard has someone with a 57 in round 1. HOOOOOOWEEEEEE! Here we go!

I though it was a really hard course too. Setting my sights on making the cut, probably going to need -10 or above for the 2 rounds. I've not done that in practice yet

I never received any formal "confirmation" from anybody related to TGCTours regarding my promotion to Web.com, but it appears I made the cut.
Played a few practice rounds on Ballyntyne National. Really wish they selected some more modern/up-to-date courses, this one just really shows its age now with all the advancements in the GNCD. Hopefully we get to play some of the great newer courses, along with some actual true LINKS tracks.
Scoring in my practice rounds has been hit & miss, ranging anywhere from -2 to -6. Putting on this course is difficult, mainly because I try to stick to playing "realistic" courses, and the pins on this course don't come close to adhering to USGA "guidelines"..... way to many hole locations on a slopped area, which is just a lazy method to suppress scores IMO, and makes for a very unenjoyable round. It will be a new puzzle to solve if this is commonplace on the Web tour.
