Elimination in round 2 is my likely fate

Elimination in Round 1 expected. Threw together a disappointing 69, 20 mins after I did a practise round of 64. Bah humbug.
Should I be posting my score up in the spoilers? Is it a way of playing mind games with the opponent if they have a peek at this thread? These are things to think about, but a 69 against a top 5 player is not going to give them a twitchy bum.

Shot a -4(68). Played with dlw's ghost to get that pressure feel. Sank a 8 footer on 18 to match his birdie and advance by 1 I think. Had it been a true match play, it was either in my favor 1up or it was AS and we would've played sudden death. Like the course but man the wind makes some of those holes brutal while helping tremendously on others. Very good challenge.

He did shoot -3 then he shot I think a -12 for Round 2 but I doesn't matter as you got the opening round win. Congrats!
I don't think I will be getting out of Round 2.

I shot a decent 67 in my first round but i doubt Nathan Allen did worse than that.

First round decided.... Thought I would make my matchup with Craig Archer (shootermcgavin) interesting by dropping a shot on 17 falling back to -4 for the round. Fortunately for me Craig missed the green on 17 also but did manage to recover brilliantly for par to stay -3. This meant I had a 1 shot lead on the last and needed a birdie to force Craig to eagle for the tie and his win (due to his higher WGR). Sweaty palms and a 10mph wind over my left shoulder meant it was no certainty, found the fairway with my drive and left with 276 to the cup. Choice was either 4 iron leaving me enough room short of tree and around 80yds for the up and down or take a 3wd with a slight fade and send it down beyond the tree. Option 2 it was and fortunately caught it flush. Left myself 29yds and a subsequent flop to 4ft for the nice bird posting -5. Craig however was not so fortunate and settled for par and a -3 finish. Well played Craig, I wasn't confident at all with my -5 but it just goes to show how fair and challenging this design is. What a prefect venue for the Matchplay with so many opportunities to pick up or lose shots. Not one shot on the course can be taken lightly, except maybe the drive on 4 Good luck to the rest of the round 1 matchups still to be completed. Looking forward to seeing who my round 2 matchup should be.

Played just 1 practice round shot 11 under & I thought I was ready. Then started my rd1 Played okay on the front Shot 4 under but then back to back doubles on 10 & 11 brought me back to even par. Finished 3 under. I'm a first round upset. Did shot 12 under in Rd 12. Somebody want to buy my 2nd Rd score? lol

I shot a -8 in round 1, I am unsure as to whether that would get me to round 2, but assuming it did, I shot a -7 there. Unfortunately for me my likely 2nd round opponent also shot a 2nd round -7, according to the ps4 scoreboard, but he has a superior wgr to me, so I am very likely to be going home in round 2, unless I get beaten in round 1! Had an 8ft eagle putt on 18 on my 2nd round to get me to -8 but I missed it.
I did suggest that if the 2nd round score is a tie, it should go to who had the best 1st round score rather than wgr, however its clearly a very biased viewpoint on my behalf! Might possibly be a better way to decide who goes through the later rounds next year though (if there is a tie).

I personally think it makes it a little tough for the lesser ranked players with the current count back too. Giving 1 shot to your rival who is already better than you is rather tough to swallow. Anywho I squeaked thru in round 1 and I will continue to play aggressive and make the most of it..... Maybe the countback could be a 4 hole playoff that maybe Dario could Publish a 4 hole course for. That would be pretty cool too I think. Crashbird published a 4 hole playoff version of his Jubilee course and I thought that was rather clever and could maybe be implemented here

Happy with my round, wasnt full of confidence going into round 1 but managed to hold of my nerves to post my personal best when it counted most 63 (-9), if Jek Melo manages to beat that then fair bloody play! tried a practice for round 2 and shot a -12 so im even more confident going into round 2 if i make it

9 Birdies in my Opening Round but had three absolute blowouts that meant i only shot -4 and lost. #7 - 4 putt from 33ft. Double #9 - Got greedy off the tee - plugged in bunker. Hit 3rd shot behind pin and putted almost off the green down the hill. Double #11 - Water Ball Must have done 4 or 5 bogey free practice rounds only to choke when it counted. Massively annoyed
