One of these does not look like the other... Just realized what I was looking at... how on earth do you bird 8 of 9 on the back 9 of this course? That’s what I would call on fire. I think I only had one round (1st) where I didn’t have a bogie on the back 9. And even with that it was a 31 (-4). Most of my scoring for sure was front 9. Hot putter, mostly. Looking at my 2nd round scorecard, seems pretty obvious that I struggle on the front more than the back, at least for whatever reason in those 2 rounds. I think a lot of it is luck, too, there's a really fine line between getting rewarded for good shots or getting some unlucky kick/roll around here, guess I just got more luck than not through those 9 holes - but it swung back in the other direction in the 2nd round lol.

-8 in R1 E in R2 Started R3... birdie, birdie, triple bogey. Enough for the day I think.
rob4590 I enjoyed this tough course so far! You got me by one heading to the weekend. Do you want to know the result now, or wait until tomorrow night? 😁

Finished up at -42.
Great course. And another one similar to The Buck Club where I'm left scratching my head how it bowed out so early in its respective design contest.
Sure there are some pins that are a bit too vicious (pin 3 and 4 on #7)...but I really enjoyed the terrific mix of holes. Plenty of wedges in hand each round where you can attack...but at the same time there are quite a few shots that scare the sh*t out of you. Many holes/pins qualify as 'par is fine here' which usually doesn't exist a lot on most courses. So nice job Rob.
Probably my best putting performance of the season as I had 100% medium putting and 51.52% long putting for the tournament. Made a fair amount of 12-15 footers and made 2 bonus 30 foot snakes.
Had no chip ins which killed me. But limited the damage throughout as I was able to salvage bogey both times I went swimming and saved par a few times laying back to 100 yards on long par 4's after I drove it in the deep rough.
That along with 2 fast flop bad pars on #8, a trainwreck of a 6 on #17 in rd 1 and leaving an eagle putt 30 feet short on #3 will ultimately cost me in the end.
Impressive score by Crawesy. Well played.
Anyways, good luck to those still to finish up!

Looking like I might squeeze in the line. I just died a little... Sigh. Edit: Christ! One more damn round here and it's over! This course kicks me square in the nuts, rob4590! Also, well played to the "flick-clique".
