You all have been summoned to defend the honour of your flight in the clash between CC-A and CC-B. I'm hoping we can match the success of the CC Ryder Cup competition from Week 15.
RULES AND FORMAT
All TGC Tours rules will be applied to the competition.
All players must be available to play their four tour rounds on Week 18.
Master and Pro clubs to be used
Teams will choose their captains during the week then the captains to have their pairing and match selections in for Sunday .
Captains will pick their pairings then allocate them a slot in Fourball and Total Stroke matches.
Fourball Matches
The two pairs will play an 18 hole round and each hole is won by the pair whose member has the lowest score, in the event of a tie the hole is halved. The pair who wins the most holes wins the match and 1 point for their team, in the event of a draw 0.5 points will be awarded to both teams.
Total Stroke Matches
The two pairs will play an 18 hole round and each hole is won by the pair whose taken the lowest amount of strokes to complete the hole. In the event of a draw the hole is tied. The pair who wins the most holes wins the match and 1 point for their team, in the event of a draw 0.5 points will be awarded to both teams.
Singles Matches
Players will play against an opponent from the other team in a 1v1 match play round of 18 holes. The player with the lowest score wins the hole, in the event of a draw the hole is halved. The player who wins the most holes wins the match and 1 point for their team, in the event of a draw 0.5 points will be awarded to both teams.
Total Team Scores
To win the competition outright a team must win over half the points available. In the event of a draw the average scores from the 4th round will be compared and the team with the lowest score wins the tournament.
Withdrawals or incomplete rounds
Any player who fails to complete his round in the singles matches will forfeit the match for his team, and the other team is awarded the point.
If a player from a pairing fails then his partner will play a 1v2 match.
If a player from each pair in Fourball and Total Stroke matches fails to complete his round, the match will be treated as a 1v1 match play round. So for you to complete your single matches (R3&4) you must play your pair matches (R1&2). If a player fails to complete his round in a Total Stroke Match, the match will be treated as a Fourball Match and will be 1v2. Any player who is unfortunately flagged by the API will have all his scores for the tournament erased. All the players matches will be treated as a withdrawal and team scores will be adjusted accordingly.
To help the competition run smoothly we'd like to ask the players to keep us informed of when they have or intending to play their rounds. It will save us time looking for scores and give us an idea of when we can announce the results.
