Me against statelyowl in the singles. Potential for that to be played live Justin? During the week doesn't work due to time differences, unless you can do a 8am your time? We could always do Friday night prior to Alt Shot, or Saturday night?

9.10am is 8.10pm for me so that would work, I'll need a day or two to get through Rd1 & 2 so how about Wednesday at about 9.10am?

The only thing that could put a spanner in the works is the missus working from home, but I don't think she will be that day. I'll let you know. I suppose I'd better club back up to Masters for that round. Game on!

Be careful Justin. I noticed a nasty Giraffe sneaking around the course last night while I was playing my rounds and as luck would have it...some weird sh%$ started happening.

Ha, you popped up uninvited on my screen while I was skulking about laying bear traps. Only problem is I forgot where I put them and got caught in a few of them myself!

Day 1 Total Stroke Match 1Jamie Gale & Simon Morris V Kevin Everard & Dave Richards Both teams were even going through the first two holes, but on the 3rd a Morris birdie won the hole for CC-A. On the 5th both Everard and Richards birdied to pull it back to AS. The teams traded shots and there was no change until the 9th when another pair of birdies for CC-B put them 1 up. CC-A pinned them back on the par 5 11th as both Gale and Morris carded birdies, then a bogey by Richards gave them the 12th to go 1 up. But he redeemed himself on the 13th with a birdie and made the match even again. Another pair of birdies for CC-B on the 14th put them 1 up but it was short lived as Morris and Gale both birdied the 15th. CC-B took the lead on the 17th with 2 birdies on the par 3, but gave it away as both players bogied the last. The first match of the competition was a tight affair and the teams halved the match. Match finished All Square

Day 1 Fourballs Match 2Paul Rainford & David Hughes V Richard Euckert & Arthur Vandelay The match begun with the first two holes shared before a Rainford birdie put CC-A 1 up on the 3rd. He then extended their lead with another birdie on the 4th, then Hughes knocked in another on 6th put them 3 up. It stayed like that until the 10th when another Rainford birdie gave them a 4 hole lead. Vandelay then carded a birdie on the 12th then another on the 13th to cut CC-A's lead to 2. The next 3 holes were all halved then another Vandelay birdie on the 17th took the match to the last hole. With the match looking increasingly closer on the back 9 it took a Rainford birdie to win the last hole and the match. CC-A wins 2UP

Day 1 Fourballs Match 3Gary Best & Jeff Greene V Pat O'Dell & Paul Bradford Gary Best gave CC-A an early lead when he hit a birdie on the 1st hole, Bradford made sure they didn't extend their lead by matching their scores through 5. Then on the 6th both CC-B players carded birdies to bring the match to AS, but Best re-established CC-A's lead with a birdie on the 7th. All players birdied the 8th and Best and Bradford both shot birdies on the 9th and 10th to keep it 1 up to CC-A. Bradford was doing all the legwork for CC-B and pulled them level with an eagle on the 11th. Nothing could separate the teams through 13 before a Best birdie put his team in the lead again on the 14th. O'Dell then got in on the match with a birdie on the 15th, then both him and Greene birdied the 16th to keep it AS with 2 to play. An O'Dell birdie on 17th gave CC-B the lead only for them to be pegged back by a Greene birdie on the last to half the match. Match finished All Square
