Welcome to Ferryman’s Tipple, the best kept secret in fictional golf. The course is only accessible from the mainland by boat - the clubhouse is at the end of an inlet, and you will sail past many of the holes as you arrive. The course takes its name from the par 3 5th hole: After your teeshot, the ferryman will row you across the mouth of the inlet to the green. It's good manners to make sure your golf bag has a bottle of whisky inside for the ferryman, just in case you get a hole in one :-) This a highlands course that plays 7348 yards from the longest tees, which are designed for master clubs and tournament play. There are shorter tees for pro and beginner clubs. It should be perfectly playable in any conditions, although defaults are fast and firm. Enjoy your round! A few more pics: NB: because of the bug with the highlands theme, it has published with soft fairways as default. If you are playing with default (firm) greens, I recommend changing the fairways to firm for a consistent feel.

With so many courses being published these days, it’s impossible to keep up. At the moment, I’m just playing random courses from the forums to see where it leads me. Tonight it led me to Ferryman's Tipple and I am sure glad it did. What a fun course to play, looks good with some clever routing. The longer holes tend to have multiple options of the tee, allowing viable shots not matter the conditions. I did play in high winds and was never with out a shot. Nice variation in hole types and lengths brought a nice variety to the course which made the course more fun to play. Worth checking out guy.

Wow, thanks hmammoth, I’m glad you enjoyed your round! My main aim with this course was to make a more interesting course than my previous one - more options off the tee, more humps and bumps on the green, that sort of thing. I certainly think I’ve acheived that with some of the holes.
Other holes I’m not quite as happy with the design - but then i have to give myself something to improve on next time!
Totally agree about so many good courses being released. I’m going to take a bit of a break from designing, so might actually have time to play some of them...

Good stuff man. I know you've had this one in the "under construction" section for a while.
Thought this course was great. Gave it a play on stream a few days ago, here is the link:

Glad you enjoyed it :-) Really great to be able to watch someone play the course, thanks for sharing!
Think I started on it back in January, been doing little bits here and there since then. I may be one of the slowest designers out there...

Here's a video of me playing through the front 9 and talking a bit about the course:
Come for the eagle on the 7th (holed a flop shot), and stay for the triple bogey on the 8th (should have taken an unplayable lie!).

Ferryman’s Tipple is now published in PGA Tour 2K21. Only made a few minor changes, biggest one was expanding the lay-up area on the opening par 5.
Enjoy your rounds!
