Just played a practice round on next weeks course, Ogden Marsh. LOTS OF WATER! I kept waiting for the banjos and a voice in my ear...”This here fairway don’t go to Aintry”

I also tried Ogden Marsh yesterday. Well, this is going to be a barrel of laughs. Even par might win it all.

I'm actually in CC-C but I saw this thread and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. As it turns out, even in CC-C, 61 showed up. Like they say about the PGA, "Hey, these guys are good." For me, 4 rounds to get to -15. But I still loved this course.

Well my first week as a full fledged member of the CC-A was incredibly frustrating. Coming up from my win at CC-B last week ( yes I'll try to milk that cow a bit longer) I was full of confidence.I knew this week's course might be a tough challenge, but good course management and precission would yield good results.
My confidence kept raising after the first round. I missed only 2 fairways and 2 greens all day. Both times the green misses resulted in a routine up and downs. I finished with 9 birdies for 63, which I thought might be put me in for a top 10 contention.
Second round started with a missed green on 1 but I got up and down, and on 4 where I chipped in.I was up to a shaky start, but somehow was -2 for the round. The next 4 holes however would show how this tournament would go for me. Ogden Marsh has this nasty shelves on some of the greens. It would absolutely give me fits the entire week. Green after green I kept missing by just a foot or two and facing 30-40 ft putts with couple of feet of elevation. I kept getting pars , but 'mental midgetness' started settling in and finally boiled over on the back 9. 5 missed greens and 3 bogies led to 71 for the round.
Probably should've stopped there, but I pressed on with round 3. 74!Over par for first time in 23 rounds on TGCT...
Round 4 was pedestrian 67, to finish the week at -11, which most likely will result a strike.

I have a question regarding sponsorship exemptions. How do you know if you have one? I finished second in the lake of bays tourney. And have been out of town since. Do I play the web.com tourney? Or stay in cc-a?

Or stay in cc-a? If you go into the scoreboard of the events, you will find your name in the correct one - so assuming you finished 2nd in CC-A last week, then you play Web this week - it will show you with an (s) beside your name However - in Web you have to play R1 and R2 by Thursday night - so you are too late for this week

I know I'd be too late for this week. But I finished second two weeks ago in cca. I don't see myself listed to play in web. But why not? Do you have to use your exemption the next week? Or the next time you play?

The exemption is SUPPOSED to carry over until you play - but there have been reports that this isn't working correctly - you may therefore need to email the commish@ email address and get Doyley to sort it for you.

-38 for the taxslayer tournament. Just really enjoyed this course overall. I'm feeling confident that 38 under is good for an exemption to the WEB. Which would also be 3 straight excemptions! Let's go! Good luck all!

Decided to jump back in to competition for the first time in forever, probably since I was on the PGA and in the Top 100. If for no other reason, I wanted to see my WGR of 2240 go up. Came in 90th last week and got a strike, really didn't enjoy that set of greens, but WGR went up 71!
Off to a much better start this week, but realized that I still have the full scout cam turned off, as well as the swing feedback. Add in the fact that my controller is real loose, which prevents me from playing Tour Clubs, and I'm at a major handicap. That is how I enjoy playing, though, so I might just ride it out and see how far I drop.

Excited to have moved up to the A group this week, but I gotta say, I'm hoping it's a short stay. I think I'm ready for the next level. Anyone have ideas about where the exemption line will be this week? From the Round 1 scores, and what I experienced playing, I assume around the -35 mark.

Looking at the round 2 scores, and from how the course seems to play, I worry that it might be closer to -40.
