Man the pin placement on round 3 was pretty brutal.

I didn't think my -36 would be good enough for exemption this week, but sitting comfortably inside the exemption line on Friday has my hopes up! Merry Christmas to me???
Nope, going to miss by a few strokes.

Just letting thread roll folks, no need for me to be putting courses on each week, just banter away.

Missed exemption by 1 stroke last week, but I think I'll get it this week with -39. Posted my best 2 finishing rounds of a tournament yet with 59s in R3 & R4.

Question for anyone in CC-A that has had an exemption to Web recently, how tough is the challenge to make the cut and get a Web Card.
I'm currently sitting in the exemption zone this week, but expect if I play in Web next week I'll struggle significantly to make the cut, is that a fair assessment?

Just checked this weeks Web Leaderboard and seems 7 of 9 on Exemption made the cut, so the Web to CC-A gap is testing but manageable?

I'm currently sitting in the exemption zone this week, but expect if I play in Web next week I'll struggle significantly to make the cut, is that a fair assessment? Definitely not a fair assessment. No offence to the Web players but there's very, very little difference in levels between them and CC-A, people don't realise just how good CC-A players are. I was in CC-A for a month and thought I'd never escape, but then once I did I steamrolled up in no time - barring a ridiculous 4th round from one dude, I'm set to win this week's Euro and get a PGA promotion outright. If you can get in the exemption zone for CC-A, then you can do it in Web as well. Euro is marginally trickier than Web (not by much), while PGA is a different ball game altogether (this week's 2-round cut was -20, easy course admittedly but still need 70+ players playing consistently well to get that scenario), that's where you truly see an undeniable difference in skill levels. Basically, nerves are your only enemy when on exemption to Web.

Personally I really enjoy the competitiveness across the levels, it is good for the health of the site/tour.

Agree with Larry - no real difference in standard from Web to either CC-A or CC-B.
Only difference is that you HAVE to be solid in R1 and R2, otherwise goodnight. But solid play in CC-A is still solid in Web.

There is little discernable difference in skill among Euro, Web, and CC-Pro - usually about 2 strokes per flight per tournament. That means a little bit streak can send you up two or three flights, and you're never really "out of your league."

R4 pin position break screwed me out of a 56. It said about 1/2 right break, it breaks to the left. Coming back it did the opposite as well.
Oh well, Hoping a 58 final round is enough to push my -37 to Web next week. I've been stuck in CC-A too long. Unfortunate, because I have only had 1 strike ever in all my rounds from CC-E to this week. I seem to always be just out of the exemption line, lol.
