Pretty much nailed it .... all the above ... got burned out, wanted it DONE, didn't give a crap anymore, got Lazy, figured the stuff that really didn't matter much, I would let slide - it played well and looked good enough ... It wasn't ever going to a "Contest Course" ... just a fun playable course ...
thanks for the brutalness, Brutus ... Now I want yur siesster ... LOL

Hope you still have some fire in your belly by the time you get to the Group E courses. I've been waiting almost three years for some real feedback and mostly what I've heard so far is crap about rakes and gazebos.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, Bradley, but you've actually gotten quite a bit of feedback...you've just chosen to lock on to 2 very minor things and apparently ignore everything else. If you think that taste isn't going to comment on some of the same things or spank your arse even a little harder you're kidding yourself. Example: everybody...and I mean EVERBODY has made a comment about not being able to see the green off the tee box on hole 12. A few of them have been VERY accomplished designers. Instead of acknowledging said feedback you instead chose to explain how we should be using different a multiple camera angles to see the green. I'm not exactly sure what feedback you're looking for unless you're wanting somebody to praise every single design decision you made. I'd be happy to give you a very thorough run through that points out every nit-picky thing, but I don't get the feeling that you'd be very receptive to that either. *shrug*...sorry you had a bad experience in the contest, man.

I have to admit I was thinking the same things... I very nearly commented myself but I had just found out I made it into the knockouts so thought it might be taken as "Sure, backing up the judges when you got through isn't difficult". But I don't want Griff to have to stand up on his own here, the dude and all the judges put a hell of a lot into this contest... maybe you don't read it the same way we do, but that comment above is like a kick in the wotzitz to me. The brutal honest truth is that the way you respond to feedback directly affects the quality of feedback you'll get in the future. When I see someone react the way you did... and by the looks of things continue to, when all someone is doing is trying to give good feedback... well I restrict my level of detail to "Nice course". I've had people say to me "Give it to me straight, I want honest feedback", but then backlash when you point out stuff, sorry but not playing that game. This thread could be seen as a finger up at that contest if you take it the wrong way. But I don't believe it is or should be. Taste is offering up his honest thoughts on courses people spent a lot of time on. Taste is a great designer and he knows his stuff. I give quite a lot of weight to his opinions because I often align. But we don't always agree I'm sure. I would encourage more of this sort of thing in the future as an alternative judging, but the way Griff runs his ship is excellent so I'm more than happy that this doesn't undermine the core contest. As long as folk don't start disrespecting the massive effort put in by all involved. Don't get me wrong, I do disagree with some of the judges comments on my course, but it doesn't mean that they are wrong, we just don't agree and I respect their views on what makes a good course. Anyways, no need to get out of hand... and honestly I enjoyed the course Brad but wish you kept the Mokki whatever name but without the accents maybe

just here to have a little fun, nothing more, nothing less. i bought a headset on blackfriday and did not read the back of the box, i just assumed i would like it, and i was wrong, so thought this would be an easy way to transfer it to somebody that may get use out of it. I should have just bought the turtle beach headset i had in my other hand at that time. so now i have both, and the turtle beach headset is exceptional for my needs. not saying the razor is bad, its missing one of my requirements, that i did not read on the back of the box. both retail at the same price, so they are comparable in that way.
anyhoot, these reviews are nothing more than that what it is, reviews with my own personal opinions on different aspects of the course. we all have our own styles we like, preferences we like, conditions we like, etc. im quite sure there isnt a single person here who has agreed with me 100% on these videos thus far, and that is the beauty with this.
i will call it as i see it, no matter who the designer is. it may seem like im not when watching a video when i score a course in the 90's, but in those cases, im just really liking what i see and there isnt much to call out in a negative way. but with that said, im not trying to find all the negative things to point out either, im also searching for as many positive things to say as well.
cheers nerds.

yeah i made the same mistakes on a hole the same as yours i had two holes i did that on and they were back to back and both griff and taste pointed it out when you do a nice hole people want to see it i totally understand that, this is a design contest and as judges there gonna look for things like that, does it mean its a bad course, of course not, does it affect the play, again no, but its a technical flaw, it is what it is sure the hell isnt worth getting upset over thats for sure
