Ok. Thanks for the chart idea, it really helped! We got off topic, I just wanted peeps to double check the numbers to help improve their game

Just using the yardage chart, elevation, and wind calculations improved my play immensely. Shaved at least two or three strokes off my game the first round I tried it
Huge thank you!!!

Huge huge thank you from me also. Just having a rule of thumb for elevation and wind really really helps. Thanks again!

Suggestion: Add another page or somehow incorporate the rollout distances of each club at each setting. This would help tremendously or maybe we can just do it on our own but it's a big help knowing a 5 iron that will carry 169 lofted will roll out another 5 yards so we can adjust accordingly.

Actually got bored and made a flat test course, copied the spreadsheet and adding a rollout chart for every club and loft from fairway to green. When i'm done I can share it with you and you can add it in if you'd like to.

At some point you have to let people go out on their own and figure it out - I'm glad you did that and would suggest others do the same. My guide is just that - a guide - I have many other techniques I use that aren't in it because I'd like to win a few tournaments If I spilled all my secrets then I wouldn't be doing so well.

Well if it helps, I'm to dense to follow your charts so far anyway. Math is my Achilles hill and I am to stubborn to use a calculator while I play. I do use them as a general rule of thumb though I don't actually do the math. hehe, I use estimation with it, inaccurate yes, but I'm getting her dialed in. I personally kind of like the progression feel of it that way. The better I get, the better I do! I mean I shouldn't be in the PGA, because as a player I do not deserve to be there. I am not good enough. With time and practice I may been one day, but I love how it is set up and it feels like a career mode! Just awesome! But I do appreciate your mentoring! To me that is part of growing as a player as well.

Yeah I kinda figured that much lol I've been playing TW series for a very long time. It was the same thing there as well. You just get a feel for things after playing for a long enough time. The chart helps as a guide but some things are still very difficult, example if there's 6 mph wind in your face and the pin is about 160 tucked behind a bunker or just no room to roll it. I've tried lofting up a 3iron only to find the ball coming up severely short since it was in the air a lot longer than normal lol Those little things you just make mental notes on and learn from every bad shot you make. Even if you do calculate the perfect club and distance you want to hit with wind/elevation taken into consideration, there's also a bit of luck on what your side lie is or if you can hit a perfectly straight shot or sometimes you miss a little and end up 20 feet from the flag lol.

Totally agree. The best strategy is learn basic strategy and then through experience and feel, you get better. Love that about this game. Experience and skill, like in real golf, is how you get good. I don't do well with the charts except as a guide. However I am getting better. I am just starting to feel it better and better. Scores are coming down due to it.
