I give up with this game. Can't putt to save my life (especially inside 15ft), no consistency especially after great rounds, no luck ever in tourneys. I always miss putts by an inch and get loads of putts that go straight even though there is break. It happens when i hit it straight on the cone. Don't give up. You got game bro! I know how you feel. We will both get those 4 great rounds together. You can bank on that!

Sorry for the negative talk but sometimes I like to vent my frustrations.

That's happened to me when play in Tourney, But I tought "Maybe someday!" We should "hang in there" man.

The game is getting more and more pathetic. I land on the green with a straight lob off the fairway,it bounces forward about a yard then spins.....to the left and off the green. Utter nonsense.

No doubt it would have been down to me but couldn't help having a rant, don't seem to be getting anywhere the game things are just not happening.

Has anyone ever made a calculation tool for this? Whether Excel based or better yet, APP based?

I am working on one as we speak.
Had a side question though, not sure if it has been dealt with (sorry if it has)...the headwind rule was 150% to 200%. Is there a more narrow rule for this? How do we choose within the 50% range?
Thanks!

"- slopes matter: ball lower than stance=shot will push left, ball higher than stance=shot will pull right...use that knowledge to adjust your aim"
This is not a true statement for right-handers. Its backwards. If the ball is above your feet (you are looking up the hill) it will go left. If the ball is below your feet (your are looking down the hill) it will push the ball right.
Honest mistake if the OP is a left-hander.
It may be better to remove the "left" and "right" and just use "push" and "pull" as those are the same terms used regardless of hand. "Push" is away from your chest, "Pull" would be be towards your back (or behind you). These terms I think are understood among the golfing community.

I'd have to go back out to the course to see what I do since it's all pretty instinctive for me now.

Perhaps nothing more precise than like 5 or 10% at a time?

So you do actually use anywhere between 150 and 200? Perhaps nothing more precise than like 5 or 10% at a time? when it comes to head and tail winds you have to think about the ball flight and what you are doing to it. say you are playing a firm course with fast greens. You have 156 yards into the wind (9 mph). With this the wind I would add 14 yards to make the shot 170, or a 5 iron. Now if I wanted to land it with a little more back spin and say club up to a 4i, then you might need to double the wind as the shot will fly higher. Also you have to factor in roll as well. when it comes to lw-9i, I always take double the wind because the ball is hit so much higher. When it comes to Pitches, it seems there is no effect when it comes to head or tail wind. Doyley, can you confirm that? I dont know, I still struggle with diagonal head and tail winds though, but those numbers see to work for me. hope that helps
