Thank you. You just proved my point. The easier the course, the more parity between the golfers. Scores aren't as spread out as much. Instead of 1 shot only costing you maybe 7 or 8 spots on the leader board, now we're talking about 1 shot possibly costing you 20 to 25 shots on the leader board. And the beauty of all this is that you can easily see the results for yourself once season 3 starts. Wait until you see the log jam all the way through. If you think it was competitive now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Oh I never argued that point. I just argued that you will never, ever, ever, ever, ever...beat Ian Sweeney. Saying something that dumb kind of reduces focus on your point. But you're okay with what this is going to do to the leader boards for 75% of the season?

Let's cancel the Ryder Cup and have a Wags vs. Sweeney 18 hole match on Little Brook instead. Actually, this is what we need to do in order to prove my point. We have Ian and myself play a very hard course first and see how much he beats me by. Probably about 10 strokes. Maybe even 12 to 14. Then, we have us play an easy course and watch the difference in our scores plummet. That is my point. That is my ONLY point. You cannot water down the difficult without creating more parity in the results. One shot could very well mean a 20 to 30 place spread. Well if Steve can't take Ian down our last hope is that dummy in Doyley 's profile pic

Let's get back on topic?

Designers If you have a firm course and they request medium firm versions - you are perfectly within your right to refuse the change - the schedulers will then either attempt to slot your course in at a later date or pass on it entirely. Medium-firm exists?!?! No it doesn't...trust me HB needs to change that setting for TGC2. In the GNCD you think you have medium-firm set for your course when in fact you have actually selected cement....lol

We need now 110 foot greens with medium firmness, super slopes that send a ball 2 feet from the pin 100 feet away and green speed of 125 or so. This way we can revisit chipping on the greens when there is no way you can get to the hole with a max putt.

Let's get back on topic? Good to see you back Mr Timmons, and making some sense in here. I just don't think wags gets it at all, I have read numerous threads lately with him stating he doesn't want to go to PGA blah blah as he wouldn't have a chance and now he's good enough to take down Sweeney. This is a guy giving everyone his own opinion as fact despite never playing in the top tier and I remember him whinging along similar lines in CC threads back in the day too. I think maybe he just wants to be a medium fish in a small pond and is happy to play the firm conditions in web where his 2500+ hrs of game time no doubt give him an advantage over the other lesser players that don't have the time to play as much, and he won't enjoy Season 3 as much now. Hopefully he gets himself a Euro card out of the Web finals so he can take down Sweeney on a regular basis

What's with everyone writing f$&@ing novels in here?
Oh, I also like the change but also agree that designers will just use medium and trick greens up to keep the scoring down. I also think a mixture of conditions shouldn't count as one use per month.

I just did southern hills and kept adjusting so the ball didn't Bounce like it was rubber but still kept the speed maxed out and it plays very fair your never gonna have realistic scores its a video game hello I believe more Sunday pin placements help keep scores down you still get rewarded for good shots
