Updated Firm Green Policy (effective December)PGA/European Tour- Max 8 firm green pinsets per month
Web.com Tour- Max 6 firm green pinsets per month
CC-Pro- Max 4 firm green pinsets per month
CC-AmI've been monitoring the tours for the past couple of months since the initial firm green policy came into effect. Going forward the schedulers will have a bit more flexibility with regards to how many firm green setups they can use. Biggest change is that the limit is now based off pinsets. So CC-Pro can now have 4 events in December, each with 1 pinset with firm greens for instance. Keep in mind that these are max values and that the schedulers have been instructed to make wise choices when assigning firm greens - just because your tour has a max allotment doesn't mean that you will be playing that many firm setups each month. Great, more firm setups = more Sweeney wins. Way to blow it Scott . Things were going so very well too. All kidding aside, this seems like a good change as a few more firm setups could be implemented.

Sounds good. Should add 4 SLOW setups per month too so we really have variety across the board.

LOL Slow setups with 150 foot greens with 3 tiers and 2 feet of rise between tiers! To get there you need to hit a 237 yard second shot WITH a tail wind!

That was the point of my post, chipping on the green isn't allowed period unless you are blocked to the hole by fairway/bunker/fringe/rough. This is probably the reason slow/soft greens haven't been put on the tour much.
