I have never won on PGA/Eruo tour. I would like to win against the best. But also I would also like to have fields where it isn't the elite only. Deviating from how the tours currently work vs. RL tours is how that would go.

FWIW I don't think a super tour of the top 100 would be all that bad with the bottom 10% or so rotating out at times to make room for those in the other tours to move in. Might be OK. I disagree. I simply think things work better as they are now. Geographic trumps splitting a top tour vs a secondary IMO.

Just give Sweeney his own tour - problem solved
Kidding of course, totally agree a Super Tour is a bad idea.
I like playing in full fields
I like seeing new names occasionally at the top of the leaderboard
I like missing cuts when I play poorly
I like crossing over and playing against different names
Playing against the same 30/50 guys every week would soon get old I get this and agree for the most part. I'm not involved with HB or TGCT but the thing they have to weigh, in my opinion, is the happiness of the masses. The concept is to get the most people possible playing and enjoying the game and tours. If anyone outside the top XXX feel like they have no shot are you accomplishing the goal or are only the top XXX getting what they need from the tour? That's the balance they need to strike. I've seen many complaints recently that folks don't like not being able to compete for a win or top 10/20, so it's something the guys at HB and TGCT need to consider at the very least. I like having to work at it. Not everyone does, and since this is a video game and not real life the same rules don't always apply. Just my thoughts.
but people would still moan, because now there is two options to play pga/euro where the top players are split up if there was only a super tour people who moved up because of wins would then moan they cant compete or just sandbag like they do on web now.

Agreed. Like I said I think it's about finding the optimal way to increase the usage and satisfaction of the masses. Many moving pieces and as Bob posted above there's no way to keep everyone happy.

I thought the aim of TGCT was to mimic the real tours as much as possible. Following that idea they have gotten thousands of people to play on here.
The problem is people somehow feel entitled to win or compete to win. If you start accomodating this BS attitude we will end up with 200 tours just to give everyone a feeling that theyre competitive.
I wudn change the structure much. The only change id make is splitting the challenge circuit in half cz i think the lower levels of the challenge circuit should get to play easy courses so they at least enjoy their time playin even if theyre not so good.

...says all the people in the top 50 WGR. Details would be nice. Something sort of like how the TST divides up the Main vs Secondary? We would like to be informed at some point.

...says all the people in the top 50 WGR. sorry I thought we already had 7 cc events 1 web event and two top tours for people to get a win....... not enough?
I hear people moaning about sandbagging creating a super tour would create a lot of sandbagging on the tour underneath IMO

Think the inital posting of the firm greens discussion has run its course - the thread has split off into other discussions. I'll lock this one now and branch off the current discussion of the elite/pga/euro going on now to here: tgctours.proboards.com/post/165437/thread

Updated Firm Green Policy (effective December)PGA/European Tour- Max 8 firm green pinsets per month
Web.com Tour- Max 6 firm green pinsets per month
CC-Pro- Max 4 firm green pinsets per month
CC-AmI've been monitoring the tours for the past couple of months since the initial firm green policy came into effect. Going forward the schedulers will have a bit more flexibility with regards to how many firm green setups they can use. Biggest change is that the limit is now based off pinsets. So CC-Pro can now have 4 events in December, each with 1 pinset with firm greens for instance. Keep in mind that these are max values and that the schedulers have been instructed to make wise choices when assigning firm greens - just because your tour has a max allotment doesn't mean that you will be playing that many firm setups each month.

Great, more firm setups = more Sweeney wins. Way to blow it Scott . Things were going so very well too.
