Well I just went out and bought this so if I don't like it I know where the abuse is heading I hope I can find time to play this and TGC and I hope it excites me more than Project Cars. The only way I was allowed to by the game now we because I had some Sainsbury's vouchers and they had it for £40! As for developing the car, I really don't have a clue. If I had the time I would read the link above, but time is just too limited.

Me too, see question before (that nobody answered). I would take that as noone here has it on ps4 and has played it with a controller.

I'll let you both know how I find it. I've never had a problem with using the controller on the F1 games before but I've found project cars very difficult.

Who has this game on PS4? And if you do, how good/bad is it if you don't own a wheel? I was thinking about getting it maybe, but if it isn't fun without a wheel/pedals it probably doesn't make sense really... I was thinking the same thing. I don't have a wheel either but it would be nice to know how hard it would be with a gamepad.

Well first impressions are really good. I've not played the last two or three versions but it's come on so much from the last one I played.
Manual starts, semi-manual pits, comms to pit crew have all been added. Safety car and career(Which I have not started) are back. Down to the important thing, the racing itself. I suppose it depends on what you want. Using a controller with full traction and ABS turned on the car is very easy to driver. I like it this was because it means I can concentrate on racing line, strategy, getting past people and putting in consistent laps. I tried turning off these aids, I'm no good with traction controlled turned off. Maybe with a wheel that would be easier. I could turn ABS off and probably do alright, I still found it hard but with practice I could probably cope. My advice is if you play like I do then a controller is fine, if you're more of a full sim guy then maybe a wheel would be better. This game is going eat into golf time I think. I couldn't stop playing it last night. Can't wait for my career to begin and I'm looking forward to having some on-line races.
One issue I did come across was over aggressive A.I drivers. There were a few collisions that were not my fault and some were strange. I had to make use of the flashback option for those.

Thanks for your inside look on the game, Dean. Very helpful, especially for those (like me) that are thinking about getting the game but who don't wanna spend money on a wheel/pedals.

I see no news of cross platform support guys, sorry! it would have been great.
No problem Thomas, it's very early days. I'll post anything else that I think might be useful.

I'm in the same boat... have PS4, and wasn't sure if buying would be worthwhile without having to invest in a wheel / pedals. I think mrooola and Canuck have pushed me over the edge... Thx very much Dean.

How did I push you? I don't have the game yet as I've been wondering the same things you are
